“I ordered chicken kalamaki & lemon potatoes. I am picky eater and I was pleasantly surprised how amazing both items were. Tender juice chicken and garlicky lemon potatoes, mmmmm!!!! Ordered take out, but the restaurant was packed! I really loved the ambiance. I’m looking forward to dining in!“

“The staff at Lula Cafe was incredibly accommodating to our almost 2-year-old toddler. After we met the owner, another server came over and even addressed our son by his first name! It was such a small but thoughtful touch. In addition, the owner knew we were traveling home the next day so she took the liberty to make our last dish a little smaller so we didn't have leftovers that would go to waste. I was just blown away by the attention to details and hospitality. As a huge bonus, the food and cocktails were incredible! Will definitely go back when we find ourselves in Chicago again.“

“I'm obsessed with the vibes here! I came here on a week night with a friend and it wasn't too busy. They have a nice patio so I'm sure it gets much busier in the summer. The service was great and the drinks were great too. I got the clarified pina colada and a popcorn masala daiquiri. I preferred the popcorn masala daiquiri but would get both again. Excited to go back!“

“Small interior, but very nice outdoor patio space to eat at. Started with the chicken pot pie. Nice crispy crust and a great balance of peas, carrots, and chicken. Great flavors but the chicken was a little overcooked messing with the overall texture of the pie filling. The reason I came was to try a sweet pie and ended up getting the chocolate pud’n. The pudding and cocoa whipped cream had perfect consistencies with the pudding being slightly thicker. Dark chocolate curls on top being a nice touch and everything being encompassed by the crust which reminded me of brownie brittle. The slice was not overly sweet but gave me all the chocolate flavor I needed. Can’t wait to come back and try some of their other sweet pies as well the mushroom pot pie.“

“This place is a total experience! The food is delicious, the decor is artsy and beautiful, and the owners are absolute gems. my family and I went for the first time yesterday and had the BEST time. we came for some quick pierogi but stayed for the ambiance, warm welcome, and fantastic conversation with the owners. This cafe is charming beyond belief and we will definitely be back. This is the perfect place to stop in with some friends or loved ones when you are out and about in the neighborhood. I guarantee you will want to come back again and again.“

“Ivonne was a fantastic waitress and the food was immaculately put together. The flavors and textures were incredible and I'm glad to have ventured out of the downtown area to explore. I loved that they attempt to do farm-to-fork on a micro scale... how cool and clever.“
“I cannot say enough good things about this place and the people who work there! Not only is the beer always excellent, but they are just wonderful neighbors - regularly throwing small festivals and other fun activities for the neighborhood.“
“This chic yet cozy space is an essential stop for Chicago beer enthusiasts. It's hard to pick a favorite option from the continuously shifting, consistently delicious beer and food menus, but the Spanish Tea IPA has stood the test of time.“
“Bartender was very professional and kind. Seating very comfortable. There’s a good din in here, comfortable noise level where seats will be filled but you can hear conversations around your table clear as a bell. Very clean. Cozy. Great canned seltzer.“

“This has become our special occasion dinner spot. We are always fiending to try new plates every time and 3 or 4 plates fills us up as a couple! Amazing service and atmosphere. My favorite dishes are the kappa bonda (fried yucca bites), kallumakaya (mussels), and pazham pori (dessert plantains). MUST order the ginger cooler as your drink, wishing I could have this on every hot and sunny day! Can't wait to come back for another dinner. Also, very easy to park for free on Fletcher.“

“Juiciest burger in Illinois! I've never been to Au Cheval, but several people have told me that paradise pups burger tops Cheval. The bun is tasty, patties are fresh, and the sauce is out of this world. Parking is a bit cramped and be prepared to wait but these burgers are WORTH IT!“
“Cozy brewery & distillery nestled in a neighborhood and against the train tracks & highway.Great selection of unique beers and cocktails made from in house spirits. Some of the beers you can find in stores, others are unique to the location. They do still do scheduled beer releases you may only be able to get on location. You can bring in food, but there's also a selection of pizza that is pretty good.Only gripe would be that it was a bit difficult to find, if you hug the road that goes against the tracks its very narrow and basically an alley. Part of the charm though, makes the place feel like it's hidden.“

“Good ass Italian ice. Fresh fruit. So natural. Love it. They give you free "flight" (four flavors in a container) for 10 stamps for every purchase. To all the lovers of syrup who dislike sugary Italian ice, do what you do cause you're not tasting real goodness. Best Italian ice.“

“2nd time coming here. Food is phenomenal. Never had chicken with honey butter or pimento cheese with fries. When you put the butter on the chicken, the melted butter, the crispy texture, and the juices of the chicken just melts in your mouth. As far as the pimento cheese goes, the sauce has a bit of a tomato hint blending in with the cheese when you have it with the fries.“

“I've driven past this place often for the last few years but never visited. I did for the first time a few days ago and have been back a few times! I love the vibe, the inside is gorgeous and cozy, and the patio is dog friendly. Adam, the co-owner and roaster, is a lovely human and easy to talk to and its obvious how much he cares about his craft. This is one of my new favorite spots on the entire north side! The baked goods were also tasty and I sampled my friend's rosemary lavender caramel Latte and it was so good! much more understated than the title might have you believe. A hidden gem of the Northside.“

“This was our first time in as we just moved to the neighborhood and we loved it! We had come from dinner but decided we wanted some snacks. We had the fried pickles, pretzels, & ice cream with churros-- I was surprised but oh so happy they had some kind of dessert. The bartender was a super nice guy-- very friendly. He checked on us often and never left us waiting for anything. The interior was really cute and about what you expect for a corner/ neighborhood bar. We will for sure be back-- so glad we gave it a try!“

“This is the most amazing cocktail bar I’ve ever been to and it’s not even close. The size of the bar is perfectly intimate; the music selection is perfectly chill; the neighborhood vibe isn’t off putting to strangers (I’m from San Francisco) and very welcoming overall; the decor is beautiful, not too posh but just enough that you know you’re in an establishment that takes what they do seriously. Last but not least, Britt (bartender) was amazingly talented, knowledgeable, passionate and skilled at cocktail making. She makes a great cocktail and will educate you if you let her, making your experience all the better since you learn how to appreciate her craft more. Like I said, best cocktail bar I’ve ever been to and it’s not even close.“

“This place has the bomb tacos - a culinary adventure for sure, not your average taqueria (which I do love btw, but this is different). Rotating seasonal special ingredients, duck tacos, amazing flavor. Also a little pricier, and a longer wait time (they make these suckers to order) I advise order online in advance and pick em up!“

“We just moved to the area and my wife and I finally made it to Websters wine bar. We were greeted by the friendly hostess, and made our way to the overflow bar in the back. The setting was quaint and intimate. We were greeted by the knowledgeable beverage director Nick. He brought a taste of a nice Bordeaux as a welcome gesture which we appreciated. We gravitated toward an Italian bottle and had the frites. The aioli was pleasantly citus forward.Thank you for the hospitality!“

“Steel cafe is soo convenient and easy to access with the fastest service. The gym is amazing itself but the cafe has been the best addition to the gym. The workers in there are always so sweet.Anytime I need a little pick me up before a workout I grab a protein coffee and it gives me the best amount of energy and that doesn’t leave me with anxiety. There are so many fresh food options along with drinks and as a picky eater I always find something I love that helps me reach my daily protein intake!“

“If you have to wait, DO IT! The food is phenomenal! We had the queso with al pastor. ??? also had the bean app. Mix the two! That's all I gotta say about that! My wife and I split the Mahi fish tacos, habenero sauce on the side. And an al pastor burrito. Best Mexican I've had in the city. It survived Covid. So that is saying something since it opened just before the fake pandemic!“

“A latin style brunch place with delicious food. Chilaquiles are spicy, hearty. The rice and black beans are good, also different compared to most Mexican restaurants. The maduros and orange slice cuts are notable and unique. Also, don't confuse the leafs 'veins' for a hair, as I freaked out pulling one from the eggs. Restaurant decor is modern, food was ready quick, and the server was nice This place also serves pumpkin spice coffee year round.“

“Exactly what you’d expect, and more. Amazing house-made gelato with unique flavors, and very quirky kids side shows! Very 80s retro vibe. Owner Jay is such a sweetheart. Adult shows are also really cool. Since 2 months ago, I’ve been coming here almost every weekend with my step kid. I’d just come here for good quality gelato but the entertainment is just cherry on top. Highly recommend. Definitely a great add-on to the neighborhood.Dietary restrictions: They have lots vegan options.Kid-friendliness: Very kids friendly. They have lots good flavors and kids shows.“

“I rarely write reviews but after our meal from Cluckers, I felt I must. Our first time getting food from Cluckers/Wilmette and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The first impression was the very friendly and efficient staff. Lovely to deal with! Then the meal...no fast food flavors here, it tasted more like homemade! Every aspect of our dinner was delicious: chicken, cornbread muffins, slaw and Caesar salad. No doubt we will be back to try something else!“

“I hosted a party here last month and everything about the experience was above and beyond. Isaac and the full team were so welcoming to our party which spanned in age from 9mos to 76. The other patrons were also so friendly and we had a great time. The oldest and youngest among us were able to enjoy the atmosphere and celebrate but leave before the bar got too crowded and the rest of the party carried on while the bar filled. Highly recommend for the drinks, staff, the crowd and the free juke box!“

“Of all the places I've tried around the city, Taste of Colombia has the best coffee anywhere in Chicago. My favorite part though is the wonderful people who work there! I feel super fortunate to have them just two blocks from my house. Make sure to give them a try!How cool this place is! They have the best coffee and desserts in all of Chicago, but the best thing is the people who work there. Many thanks to Naima, Toni and Alejandra. Always a pleasure to spend some time with you every weekend!“
“The best of the best in the area - Capanari's Ice Cream. They are very comparable to Oberweis Ice Cream. Capannari is open seasonally from March until Halloween usually. They have rotating seasonal/weekly flavors along with your classic Ice Cream flavors - I really like the Madagascar Vanilla Milkshakes. The workers are also very friendly, there's a patio and garden outside you can enjoy your ice cream in or a small couple of chairs inside. Definitely try them if you're in the area and want some great ice cream!“

“Everything about this place has a classic feel, but not like a played-out classic. It's more nostalgic with a twist. “Fantastic food and good service. They served us chips with many homemade dips while we waited for our food. The meat was grilled just right. The only note is that I would have liked a little more onion and cilantro with the food but this place is still a very solid 5.“
“I have enjoyed beer from Alarmist Brewing in the past, but on a recent sunny Saturday afternoon my love and I decided to finally visit Alarmist Brewing and Taproom. It is situated in Sauganash on Peterson, just about two blocks west of the Pulaski bus terminus. There is a free parking lot in case you are driving here. They have an outdoor patio, but we gladly grabbed seats in the taproom that faced out the "front window" for great people and dog watching. The menu lists two different flights, and we went with the Hoppy Flight with six 4-ounce pours. They don't serve food, but the staff was fine with us bringing in some sandwiches and chips to eat.“

“Absolutely a treat to have this place in Glenview. They have a location off Glenview Road but are also in The Glenview Park Center and a Evanston location. Whether you are health conscious, have good allergies or just like to try different thing... the staff and owner is sooo informative. They know all about their ingredients and products. They have seasonal items too and holiday themed too. Love the Smoothies, he wide varieties of available bowl and oatmeal bowl, great soups with cheesy waffle is a must. The spinach waffle is awesome and the banana bread waffle is a must to try! Also great detox beverages! You can find fresh pressed juice as well. Worth the extra few dollars for truly high quality ingredients and superior service. They also have a strong wifi if you want to do some work or just hang out and play a game of connect or arcade game or read. This spot is a must to visit. They do dine in, take-put and delivery.“

“First discovered IBW while waiting in the car wash lane, like I am now. That led to a visit and exploration into a world of loud guitars ? where mountain bicyclists and ex-skateboarders would feel welcome.
