“My husband and I stopped in when we were in the area. Surprised that they did not have a dining room. Only seating was stools by a narrow counter at the front windows. We ordered a 10” pepperoni with half black olives and a small salad. I didn’t see a small side salad on the menu but I was told they had one. Drinks included bottled Pepsi products and bottled water. I was a bit taken aback that our bill came up to just over $36. $36!! The salad turned out to be a regular size salad, which was fantastic but cost $12. Anyway, we decided to eat there and we were so glad we did. The pizza was the best we’ve ever had since moving to Chicago last December. Perhaps the best we’ve ever had. Thin, delicate tasting crust that was completely consumed. The pepperoni were turned up with crispy edges. It included a small container of fresh peppers and pizza sauce for dipping. We can’t wait to go again!“

“Went here for Burnch on a Sunday. It is first come first serve so had to wait a little over an hour. Roamed a bit around the neighborhood as every area of the city has its own charm.Plenty of street parking or can always park in the near by garage.Ordered the classic lulu breakfast burrito, chickpea and fennel tagine and a smoked trout scramble. “Love that this place is dog friendly! My friend told me that it used to be a house but after it burned down they turned it into a bar. They have a heated indoor patio and outdoor patio in addition to the inside space. Our bartender was fabulous but I didn't catch her name. The drinks were all top-knotch, I wish they had food but they do allow you to bring in outdoor food. We ordered pizza and then a guy selling tamales came around. Overall a super fun night and can't wait to come back!“

“Scooters is the spot for custard in Chicago! They have such a great mix of pure custard, concretes and sundaes that you could visit here endlessly. I particularly love anything with peanut butter and chocolate and my wife always goes for a chocolate strawberry mix. The neighborhood is quaint and the service is always excellent - even on those crazy hot summer days. Choose local and definitely choose Scooter's!“

“Bang Bang has been a neighborhood favorite of mine for years! Tastes like it's made with love. The biscuits, the pies, the sides, you can't go wrong! I usually get a scratch biscuit with sweet, a side salad or side of candied bacon, and a slice of pie to go :) Delicious! Great patio space for the summer!“

“Chicago Pizza is very unique and quite scrumptious. Great place! Casual. Small selection of beer and spirits. Service is friendly, attentive, and suggestive. I do recommend making a reservation and getting a small personalized pizza, as they are very feeling. Cute charming place.“

“I really really loved this brewery. It's the perfect spot for a bunch of nice drinks with friends or coworkers. They have an amazing selection of beers - My favourites were the Pickle Beer and the Azadi! While the pickle beer sounds funny, trust me it is very interesting. I also had a lovely stout. The general vibe is like most breweries, easy to chat with friends, nice music and good seating. Definitely going back here again.“

“We needed a place to stay close to the Concord music hall, and found the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern. Every element of our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The menu at the inn was a purposefully short, curated list of bar food, and everything we tried was incredible. The tavern had a great neighborhood feel, and the room we stayed in was well-appointed, and just right for my wife and me. We met the owners within a few moments of arriving, and immediately felt welcomed. I highly recommend the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern to anyone looking for a hidden gem of a place to stay while visiting Chicago. We can't wait until we travel north again, because we know where we are staying! 5 stars! A++++“

“By far one of my fave spots in Chicago. Every time I’m there they’re exploring something new and delicious but are consistently true to their flavors and culture.This Cuban Filipino fusion rings true to its inspirations and never disappoints. This was our first time getting the 5 course tasting meal and every dish was amazing. Great flavors, textures, and as a couple that doesn’t drink a lot we loved the N/A drink pairing. We were definitely full by the end.Alfredo was an incredible server/host and was very attentive to our needs and creating a special environment for us. “We had lunch today at Thattu. It was bustling with almost every table full, but the tables have ample space between them and it wasn’t too loud. The beautiful exposed brick and huge windows cast a warm glow on the modern dining room. They nailed Indian flavors without being heavy or greasy, and the fun fusion dishes we tried, like Indian-spiced tater tots with sulfur salt and beet ketchup are well executed and a lot of fun. It would be easy to eat healthy at Thattu, and I enjoyed the vegetarian combo with vegetable curry, rice, beans, and sauteed Brussels sprouts with coconut. We also tried the fried chicken with dill sauce, and the catfish.Guests order through an app at Thattu, and the cost is inclusive of service. They don’t accept tips. At lunch, you grab your own flatware, napkins, and water from a bar in the dining room. We didn’t mind this.One particularly nice touch was that when we arrived, there were no tables available, and we agreed to sit at the bar. The host said he would let us know if a table became available, since sometimes guests cancel very close to their reservation time. Lucky for us, about 10 minutes after we arrived, the host brought us to a table. It was kind of him to remember our preference and work on that for us. Googling the restaurant later, I realized that the handsome host was co-owner Vinod Kalathil. “Juiciest burger in Illinois! I've never been to Au Cheval, but several people have told me that paradise pups burger tops Cheval. The bun is tasty, patties are fresh, and the sauce is out of this world. Parking is a bit cramped and be prepared to wait but these burgers are WORTH IT!“

“Absolutely divine craft cocktails made by some of the best bartenders in the city (Violet hour / Mother's Ruin alumni). Come in on a slow night, get to know the bartenders, let them take you on an experimental experience and you won't be disappointed. “Very good brunch spot. Small and cozy but they do take reservations, so we were able to get in with a large group with minimal wait. The food, especially the Spanish omelet was spot on. The potatoes that came with the dishes was excellent.“

“Rejoice! The place for some great Chinese teas had arrived near you! Yes, it does share the fad with the Taiwan born boba drinks. But our eye was caught by the nice website with images of nice teacups and ambiance. Only 23 miles away from home we discovered that the trip in a hot and still pandemic day was totally worth it. In few words owner, Shaolong picked the teaist vibes in us and offered us a great real experience of sharing a favorite tea - he introduced us to the wonders of Zhang Ping Shui Xian (漳平水仙). Unlike the real "black tea", the Pu-erh, this one also comes in bricks, yet is a type of oolong with an amazing floral scent. We were honored with 4 different samples which we are currently slowly and thoroughly testing (3 pics). And yes, the fermentation levels are different - some definitely will give you a great oolong taste, but others are just a unique elixir on its own. But back to the house itself. I see and hope for great unrolling potential. This could become a place for tea lovers and teaists in training. Why not theme days, classes, shared experiences, a club? We would join. The 23 miles are a drive, but there isn't much of a real tea-drinking place in our Chicagoland (unlike smaller cities in North America like Portland and Montreal). However, Living Water Tea House is a great promise and it totally won our full support! Keep the cups warm!“

“Paradise is a favorite amongst my friend group but yesterday’s service absolutely blew me out of the water! The service and food is always great but yesterday we were celebrating a special milestone and our server Nico made sure to make us feel like the paradise team was celebrating with us. “The batter is unbelievable! It is fluffy and tasty. The chicken is perfectly done. I just couldn't believe the batter. I don't think I've had batter on chicken like that before. Also, they accommodated my request of not wanting thighs in my 4 piece (I am not a fan of chicken thighs ( thighs are too gamey for my taste). So I very much appreciate that. Since trying it the first time, I have gone almost every week now.“

“Tonight, the Wife and I asked for a table of 4, saw multiple tables open. Host replied with "Looks like we're not going to have table free for the rest of the night." Our 2 friends walked in about 5 minutes after us for a table, Host proceeds to not automatically deny them and asks the servers. Servers apparently had a problem with having another table until another server came worked it out. Finally, Wife and I walk back in to join our friends and overhear 2 servers discussing with the host about not seating anyone after 9pm (they close at midnight btw) Great to know that you wanting to close early is more important than actually doing your jobs and making easy money (we only got drinks and 2 apps) Pathetic, will not come back. “I've driven past this place often for the last few years but never visited. I did for the first time a few days ago and have been back a few times! I love the vibe, the inside is gorgeous and cozy, and the patio is dog friendly. Adam, the co-owner and roaster, is a lovely human and easy to talk to and its obvious how much he cares about his craft. This is one of my new favorite spots on the entire north side! The baked goods were also tasty and I sampled my friend's rosemary lavender caramel Latte and it was so good! much more understated than the title might have you believe. A hidden gem of the Northside.“

“Okay, apart from the incredible beers and the fact that the sun shines in most of the day, Spiteful Brewing has the best bathroom in Chicago. 10/10 immaculate, cleanliness top notch, nice marmalade smell and quick dispensing paper towel machine. “If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food with lots of options (and generous portions!), look no further! Upon arrival, you get chips and 2 types of salsas (Roja/red and verde/green). I ordered a fish taco and an Al pastor taco con rice and beans. So much I couldn’t even finish! My boyfriend ordered one of the many options of burritos and it was the biggest burrito I’ve seen! He loved it!!! The mole sauce on it was delicious. Oh, we also ordered taquitos as an appetizer which could be a meal in itself for one person haha! We loved the food so much, we ordered a half dozen tamales to go. Chicken and pork. Soooo delicious. 5 stars. Can’t wait to go back and try everything else! “Steel cafe is soo convenient and easy to access with the fastest service. The gym is amazing itself but the cafe has been the best addition to the gym. The workers in there are always so sweet.Anytime I need a little pick me up before a workout I grab a protein coffee and it gives me the best amount of energy and that doesn’t leave me with anxiety.There are so many fresh food options along with drinks and as a picky eater I always find something I love that helps me reach my daily protein intake!“

“The coolest bar in Rogers Park! They have a small but fun cocktail selection, great beer & cider selection, super super friendly staff and the best vibes. They have no food but you are allowed to bring any takeout you want or you can directly order to your table from any restaurant you want. Such chill vibes honestly. We were here as a huge group last week for our friends birthday party (about 40 of us) and our waiter has been a saint with taking sssoooo many orders and hand delivering them to the correct person, and with the most fun attitude too! “Very good breakfast food that has a bit of an Italian twist. I have the croque madame and the Benedict pizza. We also got the all you can drink mimosas. There is a 2 hour limit to eat and drink. “I rarely write reviews but after our meal from Cluckers, I felt I must. Our first time getting food from Cluckers/Wilmette and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The first impression was the very friendly and efficient staff. Lovely to deal with! Then the meal...no fast food flavors here, it tasted more like homemade! Every aspect of our dinner was delicious: chicken, cornbread muffins, slaw and Caesar salad. No doubt we will be back to try something else!“

“We went to Farm Bar last night with another couple and it was so delicious I had to write a review. We started with the cheese curds and we all agreed that they are the best we have ever had. Then we had the salad that was on the Specials list. It was a smear of ricotta cheese with butter lettuce, peas, asparagus, watermelon radishes and a very light, tasty vinaigrette dressing. So fresh and flavorful. The owner came by our table and has a huge farm in Wisconsin so everything is so fresh and menu changes with seasons. My husband had the catfish. He is a southern boy and he loved it. Huge portion as well! Two of us had the cavatelli. Fresh pasta and layered with textures and flavors. And one of us had the burger. He said it was a great burger. Service was very friendly and we didn't feel rushed. Highly recommend Farm Bar!! Can't wait until the summer and the rooftop opens.“

“Sleeping Village is a wonderfully funky little music venue in Avondale. The acts tend to be a bit obscure, but you may catch a star in the making. They offer a fine selection of beers and ciders. This is not a restaurant, so I'm not sure why food review would apply.“

“Burger and wine by the Glass for $21! Burger and Old fashioned cocktail for $21. We went to Webster Wine bar because it made the top 15 Chicago burger list. We were not disappointed! On Wednesdays there is a special for the burger and any drink for $21. What a deal! Our burgers came out quick and were delicious. They used Slagel Farm’s beef, and SHARP cheddar cheese instead of American. I love cheddar over American cheese any day. First time to Logan square and it was charming with the wide boulevards. Wine bar looks over the park and is very sophisticated. The wine list was impressive. Classy little place! Great for date night.“

“I hosted a party here last month and everything about the experience was above and beyond. Isaac and the full team were so welcoming to our party which spanned in age from 9mos to 76. The other patrons were also so friendly and we had a great time. The oldest and youngest among us were able to enjoy the atmosphere and celebrate but leave before the bar got too crowded and the rest of the party carried on while the bar filled. Highly recommend for the drinks, staff, the crowd and the free juke box!“

“Of all the places I've tried around the city, Taste of Colombia has the best coffee anywhere in Chicago. My favorite part though is the wonderful people who work there! “Was here randomly on a Sunday because I knew the previous bar that was here and lemme tell ya this new spot is a huge improvement! Don’t hesitate definitely order the lobster corndogs soooo good and unique. Also don’t sleep on the mussels the butter sauce is so good. 2nd best mussels in the city in my opinion and they hook it up great portion. This place is a great addition to Wicker. Causal atmosphere with elevated food!“
