“First time visiting. The guy who took our order didn't seem friendly at all. He looked hesitant. Once we received our food we were surprised, it was a lot of food. The chile rellenos were delicious. Easy to cut with the plastic utensils and super cheesy. The beans and rice were so good too. My mom ordered a carne asada plate and we were amazed with the amount of meat they gave. They were not stingy. My other family members were also very pleased with their meals.“
“I honestly go out of my way to come to this location, customer service isn’t what it used to be but this location is the exception. The staff is always cheerful and polite, I always get greeted by the crew behind the counter or the manager Stephanie she is always in a good mood and helping the team. I have been here when it’s extremely busy and I can honestly say they make the line move in a time and efficiently manner u have never had to wait for my order longer than it should and I always leave happy. “Lucidos has THE BEST Al pastor in the entire city of Chicago . I've been to a few dozen taco places in Chicago and this is the best of the best Al pastor. On el trompo is a good sign that they'll be delicious. On top of the spit it a whole pineapple which tastes so much better a little bit charred and not too sweet - unlike using canned pineapples as some restaurants do. The service is very friendly and it's a casual ambiance. I will absolutely be back. Love this place.“

My friends ordered the green chilaquiles and tried the Diablo sauce, which lived up to its name. All were delicious but next time I want to try just a regular order of Rojas chilaquiles. The line was out the door mid morning on a Sunday but the wait was worth it. It's pretty clean here but packed on the regular. Definitely recommend.“

“Pastores is a great family run brunch spot in Lincoln Square. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful, food is solid and comes quick! I normally get the chorizo skillet, which has eggs, chorizo, corn, well seasoned potatoes and chipotle mayo. It is a delicious and relatively inexpensive option in the area. Also recently tried there Carne Asada enchiladas with Mole sauce. Homemade Mole was blissful! My wife had their chicken enchiladas. Really incredible. They have this wonderful tangy cheesy chicken filling and she got the green sauce on top. Sumptuous! I’ve eaten good Mexican food all over the US, and in Mexico, and this place is a real gem.
