“This place is decent, the food is good, although sometimes they are hard chunks in the meat. But I think that's in a lot of restaurants that use fresh meat. Especially if you use the cheaper cuts. Which I do not like. But if you get expensive cut that means the meal is going to be more expensive. Which I do not like. Lol otherwise this place is okay the tables are a little sticky, but that's due to the customers not the employees.“

“Food was good service was decent. However, the past several times I've ordered a quesadilla here with green or red salsa, it's always spilt. Sometimes it's when I order online and eat there and it's still spilled all over the place and all over the bag.“

The vegan pescado taco is now my favorite menu item (right after the mezcal tamarind) The vegan and vegetarian options are amazing. So often those options are an after thought on a menu, but here, those dishes are their own unique creations, making them very special options. Paired with super friendly staff and an amazing display of art, I’d recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for tasty, high end and flavorful Mexican food.“

It looks small from the outside, but it’s enormous in flavor! It’s a very cute and nicely decorated place. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. But the food… it rocks! We ordered the Orden de Quesobirria and a Carne en su Jugo and a Agua de Jamaica (hibiscus water) and a Horchata (rice water). The Carne stew was delicious! So many levels of flavors. It looks like a mom & pop tamale place, which it kind of is, but Danny and Johanna have fine dining experience, which shows up in the quality and presentation of the food and the friendliness of the staff. We've tried most of the menu, but we almost always get whatever the special tamale and special quesadilla are. We always feel welcome. We always feel well-fed. Whereas most tortas are tasty sandwiches, this one was more like a tasty meal. The portion sizes are ample and I left feeling stuffed after only eating 1 torta with fries.“

Their Birria Pizza Tacos are a must-try as well. Such a creative twist, loaded with flavor and cooked to perfection. Every bite is satisfying.
