“My daughter was dying for some Birria tacos so we settled on this joint. Very decorative from the outside to the interior walls the place was filled with flavor. We ordered a bunch of Birrira tacos with the juice you dip it in. Absolutely fabulous. Full of flavor dripping from every bite. Absolutely highly recommend, stop by and give them a try, you won't be disappointed.“

“We hired them to cater for our event at the office here in Downers Grove and everything was simply top notch! Meat tender, salsa fresh, guacamole definitely one of the best in the long time, sauces full flavor and server very friendly and accommodating. I am very picky when it comes to my food and this one definitely hit the spot!“

“Best carnitas and handmade tortillas ever! My abuela would take me there before she passed and would rave about their quality. One thing about my abuela is that she was a picky eater when it came to Mexican food because she was the cook of the family. I recently stopped by and was able to order 5 lbs of carnitas and 20 tortillas to share with my coworkers for lunch and was in and out in no time. The place is small but the service is quick. I didn't really know how to order because my abuela always did that, but the staff was really helpful. Thanks for making yummy food that brought back pleasant memories! ?“

“Over all they have many dish selections. Second time visit and we received the beans and rice that were warm to the touch, and got cold very fast. In order to enjoy your food it has to be very hot, or just made. The rest of the food in our dishes ( stuffed peppers, shrimp tacos, gorditas) were very hot and amazing. Very quiet nice place to dine.“

“Came here because the place we originally planned to go to had a long wait and we re hungry. We were not disappointed though! We both ordered the Tampaquinta....Tamponada....Tamborine...maaan, i dont even know how to say it but IT WAS DELICIOUS! Ramon (pronounced Rrrrrramon), was our waiter/server and he was excellent. Hospitable and helpful. He recommended the Tampiqueña (yes, I do really know what it is!), among other things and it was cooked well, and was filling. I cleaned the plate. The avocado sauce and the hot sauce was good too. The tamarind juice could use some work, but I guess that's just being nitpicky. It was a substitute because the horchata was not prepared yet, no big deal though. All around it was good food, good chef, good server, and decent atmosphere. I recommend and I would return.“

“Best asada tacos in area! Melrose Park has a lot of tasty spots to choose from but El Llano takes the gold. They are BIG, delicious and the meat is cooked just right. (Might even be prime steak). I haven't tried a lot because I cant get over my tacos de asada addiction, but I see a lot of happy people in my visits there.“

“Found this little hidden gem that truthfully was superb with their food and service. A menu authentic Mexican cuisine, the staff treated us incredibly well, and all the food tasty and cooked fresh to order. From the Al pastor tacos to the gigantic huarache I had with steak, the flavors were cooked with love and care. This small little establishment in downtown Melrose Park, is super noteworthy and worth it. Only reason for giving it 4 stars was that its cash only, so be prepared. Salud!“

“I heard that this place has a spicy hot sauce and I drove an hour to find out. Hands down one of the best food I have had. The peanut sauce was amazing. Gotta admit that after mixing the sauces and the onions with habanero I was sweating it was good spicy. Will definitely come back and enjoy the food.“

“Food is fantastic. Service is good. Atmosphere not so much. Always crowded and you have to wait quite a bit for the food on peak hours. Looks like they should have more staff at those times and they allow people off the street to go in and play music and most of the times is too loud and then they go around asking for money while you are eating. Maybe they should not allow that. The rest of the time they have Banda music playing loud on the TVs so we opted to pickup the food and take it home to avoid the hassles at the restaurant.“

“Parking: There is a small lot shared with the business next to it, so it's a bit difficult. You end up looking for parking on both sides of the street wherever there is availability.Wheelchair accessibility: It's a one floor restaurant and easy access to enter.“

“I absolutely love Big Rigs! From their food truck to their restaurant, their food is always so delicious. My go to is always a Quesadilla de Alpastor (tortilla hecha a mano). They’re a pretty decent size, I get full with just one ? definitely always recommend this place to people ?“
