“I loved to food here, I found the place one TikTok I personally do recommend the food especially the shrimp burrito, ts was bomb ngl it was so good especially with the salsas that they have complimented it so well, I also recommend the tripa tacos I loved them and they didn’t over cook it nor undercooked it, overall the service was good and the staff was every kind, if you go here be ready to be mind blown with the food, I do say you have to go here with time because the food is freshly made.“

“The food and drinks were good, the service was attentive and friendly but let the buyer beware! The waitstaff asked: "Celebrating a birthday?" Let us get you some shots! This happened twice however, all the shots ended up on our bill and it was $56 for four shots! Twice!“

“Vibrant, thoughtful, and delicious! My mom and I had such a fun time eating at Mirra. We had never tried Mexican-Indian food before, and now we can't wait to try the rest of the menu! All the dishes were creative, with well-balanced flavors, textures, and fresh ingredients. We enjoyed both vegetarian and meat/fish dishes, and the wine, mocktails, and desserts were wonderful as well. Our favorites were the squash, sopecitos, and the natilla. Our server, Eddie, was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable; he went out of his way to introduce us to one of the chefs/owners, Rishi, who was such a pleasure to talk to and learn from about the restaurant. One of the most memorable and exciting meals we've had in a while! We hope to come back very soon.“

“It’s really good, but there’s a lot of good carnitas in the neighborhood. I felt a little dumb ordering because it seemed like everyone else there’s knew exactly what they were doing except for me. No one was particularly helpful or in a good mood, even when we switched to Spanish. Also, you better REALLY like pork because that’s all there is, carnitas, chicharrones, tacos dorados. You should know what you’re getting into though if “carnitas” is in the name of the restaurant. The guacamole and salsa were really good. It’s a cool experience and everything was pretty good but I’m not really sure what makes this place so much more famous than the others around here.“

“I visited this place on yesterday randomly looking for breakfast spots. As soon as we entered, all of the employees greeted us with a smile, and a hello the atmosphere was extremely welcoming and made us extremely excited.. We let our waitress. Maria know that it was our first time she assured us that we would be satisfied. We were indeed satisfied I highly recommend this place. Please go check them out.“

“We went to Zentli on a Sunday evening. The ambience was welcoming and the waitstaff friendly and helpful. We ordered vegan food which was fresh, delicious and filling. My husband thought the Zentli Salad was excellent. We both had tacos (Nopales, zetas and verduras). We shared the vegan dessert, plantains with a vegan caramel cream sauce, which was quite tasty. We will return , perhaps for a weekend brunch.“

“De Luna Taco Grill is a must-try for taco enthusiasts in Pilsen! I stopped by for dinner and ordered the Volcano Steak Tacos—spicy poblano peppers, melted cheese, and perfectly grilled steak wrapped in a warm tortilla. Each taco was packed with flavor and had a nice kick. The staff was friendly, and the food came out hot and fresh. I spent around $20 for four tacos, which is a great deal. The only downside was the limited seating, but it's worth the visit. Highly recommend!“

“Oooooorale’! We found another hidden gem! (Well not really hidden, lol) este restaurante está riquísimo! For all of you non-Spanish speakers, this place is delicious! It looks small from the outside, but it’s enormous in flavor! It’s a very cute and nicely decorated place. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. But the food… it rocks! We ordered the Orden de Quesobirria and a Carne en su Jugo and a Agua de Jamaica (hibiscus water) and a Horchata (rice water). The Carne stew was delicious! So many levels of flavors. The birria was fantastic! Levels and levels of flavor. Will definitely be back for the Menudo this weekend. See you all here!“

“I’ve written several reviews about this restaurant because I just can’t say enough. Best Mexican food, excellent service. Cute, intimate setting you must try for yourself. BYOB. I’ve gone on record to say that I had the best steak I have ever had, with their skirt steak in their Tampiquena dish.“

“My girlfriend and I went here for brunch and did not regret it. We chose to eat on the rooftop and while a little windy that did not stop the ambiance the good music and awesome wait staff provided. We had chips and salsa (10/10) as well as some frozen margaritas. I ordered the Lonesome breakfast and she had the breakfast bowl. All and all, the experience from the food to the music was amazing and we will be coming back.“

“Instead of chips and salsa, they serve free chicharrones with a selection of salsa, which were quite unique. The taco was loaded with delicious carnitas. Their menudo was on the plain side but full of tripe. The cactus salad offered a unique texture and refreshing taste. Their corn tortillas also have a strong corn flavor. Overall, this place lives up to its hype. You could also specify which part of the pig you want your carnitas from.“

“Needed to kill time while my girlfriend's car was being worked on...we saw this place and decided to stop for breakfast.
This is one of those moments where wonder happens when you least expect it!
The diner counter style seating let's you watch all the action. The, obviously, fresh ingredients that were being piled upon my giant tortilla were becoming a Mt Everest size stack and made me wonder if the chef could possibly wrap it up into a breakfast burrito.
She did...and it was amazing!
I could only eat one half.
Air was enormous whilst only carrying an 11.00 USD price tag.
Absolutely outrageous!
I wholeheartedly recommend Santa Masa!
BTW... everyone was so kind and full of smiles.“

“I’ve been coming here for a very long time and I’ve got to say, I never get tired of the food. Once you walk in, you get this nice quaint and cozy atmosphere and a nice aroma of that Mexican cuisine. You can’t go wrong with the agua frescas because they are out of this world and always taste homemade. The horchata is unlike any I’ve ever tasted (in a good way) and each sip from the agua de maracuya made from passion fruit is a genuinely splendid. I got the Torta and lemme tell you, it was one of the best tortas I’ve ever bitten, the carne is nice and juicy while also seared to perfection, and along with the freshly picked ingredients. I also got the Nacho fries which were very nice and dedicate (but make sure to eat with a fork). The service is always nice and very welcoming. This restaurant checks off all the boxes and it’s surprising that it has not earned a Michelin star, yet. Onions & Cilantro is one of the best Mexican Restaurante in not only buck town but in all of Chicago itself.“

“Pupusas! A Salvadoran/Honduran/Guatemalan dish older than a Chicago hot dog, italian beef, or deep dish, served in the heart of one of the many Mexican neighborhoods in Chicago. Personally, I have ordered the pupusas revueltas and they've been excellent. They will give any LA or DC pupuseria a run for its money. With their assortment of 6 sauces, aguacate bases for those seeking mild heat to habanero for those who want fire, Esperanza has you covered. A humble dining area with one of the cleanest bathrooms in the city, reggaeton and norteñas blasting from their TV, Esperanza is a bang-for-your-buck heavy hitter when it comes to price, portions, and customer service.“

“Excellent food! Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine dining. It can be pricey to some, but worth it and they do different deals on different nights so it’s worth checking them out. If this venue was in the #Pilsen area, you would def need a month or two reservations. The chef is #Michelin rated – say no more. Highly recommended. Next time in Chi-town I would def make this a stop. #exceptional #FineDiningMexican“

“The ONLY bad thing about this taqueria is how long it took me to realize #1 how close it was to my house, and #2 how DELICIOUS all of their food is!!!
This last summer I couldn't wait to sneak out of the house for a quick taco and a good book and their cute little patio section, which I did every chance I got. The staff are all super sweet. They are a cash only establishment.
My three go-to tacos are:
#1- The Texano - Shrimp cooked with chorizo with cabbage.... the shrimp is always fresh and tasty, and never rubbery
#2 - The Arriero - Steak, black beans, peppers, cheese, and nopales, all a perfect combination with one another!
#3 - The Happy Taco - Pork with onions, jalapenos, and zucchini
My husband loves their burritos, but I almost ALWAYS get one, two, or all three of these options when I go. Two tacos generally fill me up because they do a great job of not skimping on ingredients. The inside sit down area is very small, and looks like it could maybe accommodate 3 people at the window area. Still a perfect to-go spot when it's cold. I know I saw another location not too far away, so I'm curious to check them out as well. I usually walk over, but parking finding street parking doesn't seem to be a huge problem either.“

“Whenever my friends and family visit los comales no matter what the service and the food are unmatched. I like that the wait staff is knowledgeable about food items on the menu and their honest about prices and suggestions on how a meal can be filling and affordable at every restaurant. My friend and I walk in and immediately were given seating options on a night they were moderately busy, half full in the dining area we sat to eat in. The food came out hot and as expected halfway through our meals, a steak chimichanga oozing cheese and a carne asada con chilaquiles y queso, chef's kiss. We payed at the counter after packing leftovers in Styrofoam and plastic bags provided for us and again unmatched service that did not go without a tip for the server. Highly recommend this restaurant and Pilsen location. Keep up the good work.“
