It would be five stars if their prices weren't so egregious. Possibly the best tacos in the city.
The tinga chicken was delicious, maybe the best I’ve ever had. I loved the blue corn tortillas and the mezcal cocktails. The art work is very interesting and adds to the uniqueness of the place. I would recommend Zentli to anyone.
Tucked behind the door of an unassuming storefront just east of the corner of Dempster and Dodge in Evanston lies a treasure to behold. Zentli! The dishes are exquisite, with each sauce telling a different story. The artful decor enhances that deliciousness, making you feel as if you have been transported to Mexico, and out for a special occasion. The staff are gracious and considerate and seem to genuinely care. We will make a point of visiting again soon and you should too!

Zentli serves excellent food with wonderful flavors that exceed Mexican entree expectations. Known for having the best tacos in Evanston, the restaurant also offers great cocktails and mocktails, including margaritas with a unique twist. The atmosphere is amazing, showcasing original artwork created by the owner, which adds to the inviting ambiance. The food is outstanding with a great variety, including amazing vegan options, and creative preparations. The restaurant is very accommodating of food allergies, and the service is fast and friendly. With reasonable prices, Zentli is a must-visit destination for a fantastic dining experience. Some guests have noted that the salsa was disappointing and the guacamole could use more flavor. Additionally, there is a $3 charge for chips and salsa, which is unusual for most Mexican restaurants. Despite these minor issues, the tacos and special quesadillas received high praise, and many customers plan to return, feeling like the staff is family.
