“El Milagro tacos are my favorite. I've been eating them since they were by Maxwell Street. The tacos here are the same. The only thing is I'm not fond of the atmosphere. It's a mall. They also ran out of steaks. In all the years I've been eating at El Milagro (60+), they never ran out of the #1 taco, carne asada. ?But if you get there earlier and you don't mind the mall, you will be having some awesome tacos. All the fillings are delicious, and it's not your little tacos either.“

“El Xangarrito is a gem. The presentation and flavors of every dish I've tried are some of the most creative Mexican food I have had. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the staff make you feel like you have been invited into their home. The prices are very reasonable for the level of food and service you receive. Their mole sauces leaves me craving more, and I am not usually a fan of mole. If you have not tried El Xangarrito, I highly recommend putting it at the top of your list.“

“Ever since I discovered Barabaro, I order it at least once a week. Everything is delicious and fresh, with a good amount of spice. They definitely go the extra mile to elevate the food and experience. For example, the guacamole has some awesome toppings and the chips are seasoned nicely. You can tell the tortillas are fresh too. Definitely a cut above your average taqueria.“

Service was very quick too without sacrificing quality, in addition feels "light" in a good way without all the heavy grease and salt. It's hard finding vegan restaurants with large vegan menu options, including desserts like cake and brownie dessserts that taste so good like "regular" cake/brownies, so this place has it all! “I ordered the taco dinner with al pastor and steak. The portions were well served and the salsas they have are tasty. They bring out a small bowl of soup when you sit down and it was great way to start the meal. The micheladas are also great. I will definitely return and try something from their seafood menu“

“I found out I had to host Christmas days before the 25th. I can't describe how friendly, helpful and extremely serviceable they were with me placing a catering order only 2 days from Christmas. Since I needed for the 25th, they opened specifically for my order.....Wow!! The service was phenomenal the food was exceptional!! Truly blessed to have them in the neighborhood! Puerto Rican rice, tostones. lechon, ham and potato salad enough for the entire family (25 people) with left overs for the next day. Thank you doesn't seem enough for the owners. “I stopped by to try out the pozole. I was prepared to be disappointed as I have been with most restaurant pozole. The bar is pretty high as I have a friend that makes it best homemade. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The broth was not rushed which resulted in such rich flavors. Every spoonful was filled with meat and hominy as well thanks to the generous servings in the soup. The taste reflects the patience and love that it was made with. The price point was pretty amazing as well. I will undoubtedly come back for more.“
“Lucidos has THE BEST Al pastor in the entire city of Chicago . I've been to a few dozen taco places in Chicago and this is the best of the best Al pastor. On el trompo is a good sign that they'll be delicious. On top of the spit it a whole pineapple which tastes so much better a little bit charred and not too sweet - unlike using canned pineapples as some restaurants do. The service is very friendly and it's a casual ambiance. I will absolutely be back. Love this place.“

“Based on previous reviews we decided to make the drive from Logan Square to Querrepario in Archer Heights. The drive was totally worth it!The food is perfectly seasoned and portioned well. It's truly authentic food from Guerrero. The homemade tortillas are so good and were made to order. Everthing we ate was good. “Such an authentic gem in Oak Park. Vincente Fernandez is playing on the tv. I ordered the cafe de la olla, which I haven't had in forever and was such a delicious comfort to drink on a cold morning. My friends ordered the green chilaquiles and tried the Diablo sauce, which lived up to its name. All were delicious but next time I want to try just a regular order of Rojas chilaquiles. The line was out the door mid morning on a Sunday but the wait was worth it. It's pretty clean here but packed on the regular. Definitely recommend.“

“Pastores is a great family run brunch spot in Lincoln Square. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful, food is solid and comes quick! I normally get the chorizo skillet, which has eggs, chorizo, corn, well seasoned potatoes and chipotle mayo. It is a delicious and relatively inexpensive option in the area. During warmer months they have outside seating as well! A great place with great people.“

“I ordered pick up for half a gallon of red pozole and ceviche. The ceviche is exceptional and diced exactly how I like it, very small, and came cold just how it’s supposed to be. The pozole is delicious and the toppings come in a large portion. Pozole was still very hot when I get home. I like cabbage, cilantro and radish instead of lettuce so if you order here make sure you have the toppings you like at home.“
