Got a Kiwi and Jamun (Java Plum, “Njaaval Pazham”) juice.
The Jamun juice was really good and tasted natural. I got it for nostalgia sake and was worth it.
The Kiwi on the other hand wasnt that great.

We had a pleasant experience with the customer service and atmosphere. Jack was very welcoming and handled our rather large order with ease and speed. We had 3 smoothies, 2 avocado toast and one oatmeal bowl. Only critique I have is the oatmeal was slightly more watery than I’m used to. Anthony the owner stopped in during our stay and witness the praise I gave Jack. Clean and well kept. I hope our 2 littles didn’t cause too much a ruckus 😊“

“I go to this location quiet often, but I was extremely disappointed as well as angry with what I saw today at this location. (3/9/25 at 5:35pm) The 3 customers that were ahead of me placed their orders were first timers I found out. The young lady that was fixing their smoothies dropped a cup on the floor, picked the cup up from the floor then sat the cup to the side. As she finished one smoothie she pulled a fresh cup, then the 2nd smoothie she proceeded to pour it in the cup that she picked up off the floor. I told the young lady that took my order, so she then pulled the young to the side to tell her that I saw what she did then she looks at me and says "I'm Sorry" (I said to her): What do mean you are sorry, why would you do that, and why are you giving that to her, you need to remake that smoothie ...and guess what she did not. I'm just want to make people aware: Watch the people that prepare your sandwiches/smoothies or anything of that sort. It's not their stuff, they're not paying for it so they don't care. That was just the epitome of nasty and extremely unsanitary. She didn't have on a Tropical Cafe shirt, she had on a gray shirt, she may have been new, I'm not sure but we need to learn to do better when working with the public. Don't do things to people that you don't want done to you!!!!! FYI...the name on the ticket was: Shelia G“

“Delicious food, excellent service, noisy outside (not Brother’s fault) but inside looked crowded and not as bright on this beautiful day.

Chicken and chorizo skillet was our favorite; thanks to the waitress who recommended we order the skillet version (instead of omelette version). The hash browns at the bottom had a nice crisp, and the dish itself had nice flavor - especially with the red hot sauce.

The steak fajita omelette was also good but humongous, so I didn’t even come close to finishing it (especially since I added a side of bacon).

Heads up: the cappuccino came with a sweet foam on top. Husband’s coffee was constantly refilled.

Service was friendly and attentive even though we were the only ones eating outside.

We were only visiting Chicago but would return to this restaurant. It feels like a local place (ChatGPT helped us find this gem, but I wrote this review myself :)“

“The guy running this place is just great. He was super accommodating. Even went so far as to tell me that the freeze flavor I selected wasn't the best. Said he would let me try it, but if I didn't like it he'd make me something else (Thai Tea Freeze... Funky... Just like he said). He was true to his word and made me a lavender freeze for no extra cost that was totally delicious. I'll definitely come back. 100 stars for quality of customer service.“

“The employees were friendly, communicative and patient. For drinks, I tried an iced dragon rose and mango matcha. Both drinks were delicious and well balanced. The no tuna toastie came on a crunchy slice of toast, garnished with grape tomatoes and microgreens. It had the right amount of filling to bread in my opinion. Finally the tiramisu was light but sturdy with a nice bottom crust. My least favorite item was the praline, but mostly because it had a softer texture than what I was expecting. When I substituted the nonfat milk (powder) for almond milk, I expressed my concern about my smoothie being thin/liquidity. “Ohhh sweet summer flavors and memories are found at Xurro! They have a great menu of many ways to get your sugar fix from sundaes to smoothies and seasonal flavors too. You can even get a variety of flavors in your ice cream base, vanilla or strawberry or Superman! It being my first time I decided on a classic sundae with churros and I was pleasantly surprised. The churros are crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and have the perfect dusting of sugar. It was gone before I made it home! A little on the higher side for price but it’s fair for all that you get.“
