“Today was my first time trying Smoothie King. I picked the Peanut Power Plus. When I substituted the nonfat milk (powder) for almond milk, I expressed my concern about my smoothie being thin/liquidity. The person who I worked with, I’m assuming the manager, assured me that it would still be thick or they’d be willing to remake it. He even added extra peanut butter. My smoothie was tasty. And although I only got the 20 oz, it was so filling, I could barely eat. 😂 That’s a good thing. Thanks for my smoothie but especially the excellent customer service.“

“I recently visited Pure Greens and had an amazing experience! The staff was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to assist me. They took the time to explain their menu, including their personal and customer favorites. I decided to try the purple haze smoothie, and let me tell you, it was not only delicious but also perfect for anyone looking to improve their skin and gut health. Additionally, they have a fun selection of wellness shots that I thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely be recommending Pure Greens to all my friends in the city!“

“Love this place. The smoothies are a little more expensive than what you might get at other places but the ingredient quality is unmatched. You can really tell the fruit is all fresh.

“Visiting from Columbus OH, my family and I stopped here as it’s a family go to at home and fits into our plant based (vegan) lifestyle. We had a pleasant experience with the customer service and atmosphere. Jack was very welcoming and handled our rather large order with ease and speed. We had 3 smoothies, 2 avocado toast and one oatmeal bowl. Only critique I have is the oatmeal was slightly more watery than I’m used to. Anthony the owner stopped in during our stay and witness the praise I gave Jack. Clean and well kept. I hope our 2 littles didn’t cause too much a ruckus 😊“

“The juices here are so fresh and full of flavor, you can really tell they use quality ingredients. I tried a couple of different blends and each one tasted clean and refreshing without being too sweet. The menu has a good variety, so it’s easy to find something that fits your mood or health goals. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for something healthy but still really satisfying. I’ll definitely be stopping by again to try more“

“Honestly this is the Best smoothie spot around town. The employees are super kind and respectful. The vibe is very cool and hip. The space is very clean and well lit. The prices of the drinks are modest. Every time I grab a smoothie from there I leave and feel happy.

“I go to this location quiet often, but I was extremely disappointed as well as angry with what I saw today at this location. (3/9/25 at 5:35pm) The 3 customers that were ahead of me placed their orders were first timers I found out. The young lady that was fixing their smoothies dropped a cup on the floor, picked the cup up from the floor then sat the cup to the side. As she finished one smoothie she pulled a fresh cup, then the 2nd smoothie she proceeded to pour it in the cup that she picked up off the floor. I told the young lady that took my order, so she then pulled the young to the side to tell her that I saw what she did then she looks at me and says "I'm Sorry" (I said to her): What do mean you are sorry, why would you do that, and why are you giving that to her, you need to remake that smoothie ...and guess what she did not. I'm just want to make people aware: Watch the people that prepare your sandwiches/smoothies or anything of that sort. It's not their stuff, they're not paying for it so they don't care. That was just the epitome of nasty and extremely unsanitary. She didn't have on a Tropical Cafe shirt, she had on a gray shirt, she may have been new, I'm not sure but we need to learn to do better when working with the public. Don't do things to people that you don't want done to you!!!!! FYI...the name on the ticket was: Shelia G“

“Delicious food, excellent service, noisy outside (not Brother’s fault) but inside looked crowded and not as bright on this beautiful day.

Chicken and chorizo skillet was our favorite; thanks to the waitress who recommended we order the skillet version (instead of omelette version). The hash browns at the bottom had a nice crisp, and the dish itself had nice flavor - especially with the red hot sauce.

The steak fajita omelette was also good but humongous, so I didn’t even come close to finishing it (especially since I added a side of bacon).

Heads up: the cappuccino came with a sweet foam on top. Husband’s coffee was constantly refilled.

Service was friendly and attentive even though we were the only ones eating outside.

We were only visiting Chicago but would return to this restaurant. It feels like a local place (ChatGPT helped us find this gem, but I wrote this review myself :)“

If we had an honest government or an honest media, a place like this would have a line down the block throughout the entire "scamdemic" as health starts within. Despite all of the propaganda, what has always worked to maintain proper human health is proper diet, exercise, and lifestyle and those are still the most important and determinative factors. Nobody will EVER get enough jabs to give them perfect health, but choosing better foods that nourish and heal the body is a sure way to feel better one "shot of organic goodness" at a time. We tried their smoothies, bagel sandwich, and empanadas — and every single thing was amazing. Their smoothies are made with real fruit, super fresh, healthy, and refreshing 🍓🍌🥭

The empanadas completely stole the show though! I brought my friend who has lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years, and she said these are the BEST empanadas she’s ever had in Chicago! The crust is unbelievably thin, crispy, and crunchy at the same time, and the filling is packed with flavor 🤤

I also loved their bagel sandwich — perfectly toasted, crunchy, crispy, and so well made. And honestly… the prices are unbelievably reasonable for the quality you get.

They even have their own locally roasted coffee beans! ☕ We’re huge coffee drinkers and always on the lookout for freshly roasted beans, so of course we had to grab two bags to take home. We can’t wait to try them!
