I absolutely Love CP!! A new find and neighborhood gem! It's tucked away in a small parking lot right off of Cumberland.
Service was friendly, prompt and the overall vibe is super Italian old school. I believe the owner is there every day and each time we are there, he always says thank you and have a nice day at the end.
Coffee and sandwiches are so good! Relatively affordable as well! Also offer some goodies like chocolate snacks and gelato!
Please support your local businesses !! Lots of regulars on a daily basis !

Good coffee options, but the interior seemed cramped.

Not fancy. Off the beaten path. Full of local Italians. Very warm welcome and proper European coffee.

No wifi when advertised wifi. Nowhere to charge laptops. Atmosphere is more restaurant than coffee shop.

This is a truly italian cafe with what seems to be patrons that know each other for many years. The staff seemed to know everyone that came in and personally greeted them. Cant believe I havent been here before when I used to live just 5 minutes away.
Nonetheless, the staff was super friendly and accomodating. The prices are fairly lower than market standards but quality does not suffer.
The prosciutto, egg and cheese croissant was flaky and the deli meat was salty and flavorful. Paired with a large cup of Americano, was a nice combination. Lastly, the homemade cannoli was really good.
This place is definitely a 4.4⭐️ rating!!

Classic neighborhood Italian cafe (rather than coffee shop, so there's booze) though kinda ruined by two giant screen TVs, one pretty loud. There's 8-ish tables of various sizes and heights in two rooms (one with no TV, so that would make this bearable). I was there on a a Sunday morning and there were a couple of tables of middle aged Eastern European guys, including one cabbie. Decorated in Italian posters and sports memorabilia. Two outlets. Wi-fi with password you ask for, plus xfinity. Small menu of coffee and pastries, plus sandwiches and a few Italian appetizers. No breakfast items except pastries. Decent selection of bagged teas. Super-friendly and warm Slavic barristra/waitress: she raised the place from 3 to a weak 4 stars. [Update Jun 2025: Small patio outside, partly covered. Was there on a Sunday evening and there were a number of guys smoking which kinda ruined the experience. Had some mediocre homemade gelato.]

Great espresso and amazing staff!
I visit them whenever I drop someone at O'Hare early morning. Old timers are fun to observe, food & espresso are ok. Recommend to try it - the place is unique.
