The food here was very average. I have had much better tasting Chinese food at other restaurants. I wanted to try a new restaurant, so I ended up at Hoa. The atmosphere is outdated and not very inviting or conducive for dining here. I ordered my food for take out/carry out. The egg rolls tasted frozen. Not fresh. My shrimp fried rice was average. There was an abundance of shrimp, but it was overcooked. As a result, the shrimp texture was rubber-like or plastic-like when I chewed...
Hoa My Chinese is an amicable place. The menu is extensive. I decided to order an egg drop soup and shrimp fried rice. The food came promptly and it was fresh and tasty. The shrimp were one inch long and abundant.
Stopped by for lunch and was impressed by the freshness of the ingredients. I recommend the orange chicken, egg roll, and pork fried rice. In mom-and-pop fashion, the server treated us like welcome guests. A true hidden gem!
