Just sent my daughter, who is out of state, a variety of cookies. She said they were fresh and delicious! Thank you Palermo bakery for making sure they were packed securely, as they arrived without any broken cookies.
I would definitely recommend your bakery for anyone that lives out of state and wants a taste of Chicago!
I like their cakes its not too sweet.

Fantastic old school bakery. Great selection and highly recommended
Unfortunately, the only thing left of the Italian tradition here are the flags and pictures on the walls. There’s no real cappuccino, no place to sit and enjoy a proper coffee like in Italy. A shame, because with a bit more attention to true Italian spirit and hospitality, Palermo could be a little oasis of Italian taste in Chicago. Instead, it feels superficial — missing the warmth and style that make Italy special.

Stopped in Palermo bakery Saturday morning. I wasn’t sure I was ever go back there. I was in there about two years ago and I had the worst experience with one of their workers. She was rude. She was ignorant. She just didn’t want to be bothered. But I have to say today was a complete turnaround. I had an awesome young woman take care of me. I ordered a slice of their sausage and giardiniera pizza
Very good! I ordered two of their cannolis, a semolina baguette,Arancini (rice ball) the Arancini had a great taste, I like them a little more crispy on the outside they seemed a little mushy.
they also had some amazing brownies in there, Oreo and cream and a caramel turtle. Palermo bakery has a lot of unique different items in their bakery from the focaccias, slices of pizza, Italian pastries.
I’m actually glad I went back in there. It was not fair of me to blame the bakery itself for one of their employees.
Now here’s the real question would I go back again most definitely!

I walked into Palermo Bakery to order a cake for a Quinceanera and I knew more or less what I wanted but the nice young lady helped me pick out a cake design from Pinterest and to my surprise the cake came out so beautiful! I want to thank the cake decorator or decorators for doing such an amazing job. Everyone love the cake!!!!!
Weeks later, I wake up thinking about those perfect slices of the most amazing cakes. I may be in ❤️....and then I realize I can return for more!

We went to the bakery, and everything was just overly priced, and the girl who was helping us didn’t know anything, and had to go Keep asking her manager. It was a extremely Long wait And even though they have discounts on their app, you are not allowed to use them in store. We ended up walking out, and then I overheard the girl who was serving us curse and call us. Weird.

The cannoli cake is always a hit with zero leftovers!! Highly recommend.
Impressed! Custom order cake exceeded expectations. The price & wait were worth it.
Delicious cake! It was exactly how I pictured it!
Cannoli dip was great!
The cakes are pretty good, but there was a whole lot of attitude from the bakery staff that I was completely caught off guard by. Granted I did ask some silly questions like, “do you take special orders?” But I really didn’t expect the attitude that I received. Also something I bought was on sale and she tried to ring it up for the regular price. And she didn’t have the patience for me. There was no one waiting, and I understand that early morning bakery jobs are tough, but I was shopping for my own birthday and I was really excited to visit this place for the first time ever. Also, parking is a nightmare, you have to back up into traffic. BUT the pastries are delicious
