Jerk N' More Too

The food is good here. I do not believe the owner know what’s going on. Some Fridays the staff leave early and they did not pick up the phone after 4:45pm. I drove in and this lady had a major attitude, yelling WE CLOSE!! I said dont you close at 7pm? She repeated WE CLOSE! Mind you this is at 5:30pm. How are you closed when the door is ooened and the sign says you’re open! This is not the first time this happened on a Friday! The owner need to hire reliable staff! This is not how you run a business!! For that I give the service a 1! The food is good and the atmosphere is a typical take out low budget hole in the wall feel. Nothing bad about it.

This place is never ever open on time. And it’s the most frustrating thing ever. I’m not even from this state. Came one time and they were open and the food was great. But every time after that Ive visited this state/area, they’re never open. Super unprofessional. And it’s sad because I’m a black woman who desperately wants to support black businesses, but the lack of professionalism is why so many black businesses fail. This is my last time ever coming here. It’s the biggest waste of your time.

I wish the prices for oxtail weren't so high, I'll probably be at this place every weekend, haha. I need to try more things on the menu, but the jerk chicken and oxtail always hit the spot. Highly recommended. And don't forget to grab some banana pudding.

My 1st time there, I ordered a jerk chicken dinner with gravy on the rice, the gravy was an extra $1.00. The jerk chicken was ok, the cabbage and rice with the gravy had no flavor at all It was truly a waste of money. I purchased two dinners and they both were bad

I've never been disappointed with any food I've ordered from here! They are consistent and have gotten a lot of business from me and my friends and family! I have people traveling from Chicago to order their food and dessert! The strawberry banana pudding is a hell yes for me too!

The jerk chicken bowl is awesome! If you live in Lake Bluff or Lake Forest, I strongly encourage you to check out this hidden gem for great food.

The chicken bowl is great. The steak bowl is better. The jerk sauce has a bit of spice. Order the bowls with everything on it. I pick up at least 2 bowls for my bulk. In my opinion this feels like a clean bulk they use fresh ingredients and don't start cooking until you order. So order ahead of time and and ask for an eta.

This was my 1st time trying them out. Food was delicious I bought a little of everything. I highly recommend the jerk Alfredo fried fish beans & rice & strawberry pudding.

I am carribean this food was nothing Jamaican about it the Mac and cheese dry and nasty for the 65 I just spent I don’t even want to talk about the rolls 😭😭😭then gave me Chinese duck sauce with my rolls just terrible

The jerk is good, but the Mac & cheese, & cabbage has not been good the last few times I have gone here, so thr last few months! The yams are usually good but not of recent. The greens had too much salt in them the last two times I was there. I give places a few tries but it's time to move on from here. I don't like that they have specials advertised but then upcharge u for different sides. Ridiculous.
