If you are in Phil then this type of eatery is very common but here in Waukegan it is decidedly cleaner bec of food inspection standards-- the food is very good and we eat here and stay away from SMC Pampanga-- the family members who assume all the roles of customer service, cooking etc are all nice and patient, answering any questions about their limited but tasty menu-- they seem proud of their dishes and are not stingy with their portions-- I choose to ask for separate containers...read full review
My coworker and I got to check out Lola Adang’s Kusina. So, let me get into it!The food was very good. When we see that LAK was a small family owned business we did figure that the food was going to be good. The quality was spot on and the portion sizing was amazing. I really like the teriyaki chicken the faller was out of this world! The service was good too. Everyone was very friendly to my friend and I. The atmosphere was okay. Value for your money, they have the most affordable entree ever in Chicago. The serving size is good for two and taste okay. The server was friendly and accommodating. The place ambiance could be updated but they might be going on the lower/middle class look like in Manila. Overall a good choice in LC.
