Haven't been here forever, so Mom and I checked it out today. I remembered they would give these sweet and sticky donut like treats when you first are seated. They were all gone by the time we got there. Service was exceptionally...slow today, however when our server came, she was attentive for the most part. Cream of Broccoli soup- ?? Onion rings-?? Burger was decent ( bigger than Al's) for a diner, type restaurant. Pancakes were large and thick. I tried them but a bit too doughy...if that's a thing...I don't usually eat them. $36+ tab (no drinks).

I always enjoy their breakfast, this time, I had the crepes stuffed with cream cheese, and topped off with blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and pecans. This place is always packed, but you're seated and taken care of pretty quickly.

Be careful when eating here, the hospitality is poor. The older lady at the register has a horrible attitude. They add the tip automatically- 18% for minimal service. And when I made a comment about a sign about it- they said it's on the back of the menu... Scamming people and poor service.. orange juice was gross and hash browns were bland.

It's okay.... I always have to exchange one of the coffee cups because they always seem to have leftover lipstick on them. We go here because they offer non-pork options for bacon and sausage.

We had a great time at Yia Yia's in North Riverside on 9/4/2024! The hostess and wait staff were friendly and helpful. We had the Lumberjack breakfast and it was wonderful! We are so glad we went to Yia Yia's!

We were disappointed with our service. The silverware wasn't cleaned throughly so we asked for plastic. Both meals were wrong. We wanted avocado and didn't receive it. When we mentioned we should get a discount for the mishaps, it went on deaf ears. The tip was already in the bill. The food was decent but nothing special. It's a little bit overpriced.
