My entire experience with this organization has been excellent. Their wine is outstanding and their service, along with their recommendations, are informative and precise.
This is the one of the best wineries we have ever been to in Illinois. I love their infusions and it is a wonderful place to visit. We usually share a bottle of Almond Infusion and a cheese plate. I love to do a tasting first then grab a seat and relax.
Some good ones to be found. Some others to be avoided.
Such a yummy sparkling flight!! Service was excellent and outdoor seating relaxing. We will be back for sure!
My wife and I went to Starved Rock State Park and visited August Hill one late afternoon. We had a pleasant time tasting different wines. One of my reds was very good, and the other two decent. My wife had a good rose and two good whites. We bought two bottles when we left.
We enjoyed the wine on the hill event, well managed socially distanced area for an outdoor concert. Great JOB! The wine bar/store was also well managed as well.
Having giving the tour around the area by our friends, she decided to give us a taste of the area Mike going to August Hill Winery & Tasting Room. Masks are required in this climate of the Coronavirus but you could take them off once you got to your seat. One thing that wasn't so great right away was it the menu is only accessed buy a barcode left on the table. And like us, don't know how to scan with our phones, so we were left hanging on what was available on the menu. Staff didn't make it easy on us as they didn't come to our table. One had to go up to the counter and Order with the barmaid and then wait for the different wines to be brought out. At this time they don't offer tastings but, you can order a flight of three wines to try. We also bought breadsticks multi-grain crackers and little chocolate cups to complement the wines. Although there were three of us they only brought out 1 napkin 1 spreader and one plate. On the upside, the wines were very good. I enjoyed sweet Carmel Apple wine while my friends liked the dry wines.
We stopped by here to try some wine with the family on vacation. The wine was good and we bought some bottles to take home. They give you a good variety to choose from for your samples and the staff was pleasant. We were a group of 6 adults and 3 children (under 3).
This was a quick and impromptu stop to purchase a bottle of wine. Not only did I purchase a bottle and had a sampling but I enjoyed it very much. Who would have thought that little old Illinois could produce such a light, crisp and bold Brut. I had every intention of coming back to sample a flight but time run out. Beautiful space and a must do if you're into wines.
Delicious sparkling wines in a lovely tasting room with a nice patio!

Love, love, love these sparkling wines. You can say I am biased because the wine maker is my brother, but I'm not the only one who thinks so. I've watched the surprised delight from wine experts when they taste these sparklers for the first time.
