This is the one of the best wineries we have ever been to in Illinois. I love their infusions and it is a wonderful place to visit. We usually share a bottle of Almond Infusion and a cheese plate. I love to do a tasting first then grab a seat and relax.

My wife and I went to Starved Rock State Park and visited August Hill one late afternoon. We had a pleasant time tasting different wines. One of my reds was very good, and the other two decent. My wife had a good rose and two good whites. We bought two bottles when we left.

Having giving the tour around the area by our friends, she decided to give us a taste of the area Mike going to August Hill Winery & Tasting Room. Masks are required in this climate of the Coronavirus but you could take them off once you got to your seat. One thing that wasn't so great right away was it the menu is only accessed buy a barcode left on the table.
