Stopped in for lunch after hiking Starved Rock, and doing a little sight seeing, this place was highly recommended by the local tourist shop. Was definitely not disappointed.
Fast friendly service, excellent food, great prices.
I recommend dining outside, weather permitting. The inside leaves a lot to be desired. No frills dining is apparent from the cheap flatware to the plastic cups. But don't let the limited menu fool you. Best biscuits and gravy in the area. And their Texas French toast is great even served with artficial maple flavored corn syrup.
Second time here, and will definitely be back the next time we're in the area. We both had omelets and they did not disappoint. Staff has always been super friendly, and food gets to the table quickly.
