Arrived around two o’clock on a Monday afternoon. It was a warm and beautiful fall day so we chose to sit outside. It was busier than normal for a Monday, but we weren’t in a hurry anyway. The wait staff worked hard. I ordered the breaded pork tenderloin. My wife ordered the chicken strips. Each entree came with fries. Mine came with lettuce, onion, tomato slice, and pickles. This is definitely a locals' spot. We stepped in for lunch on a trip through and it already had a table full of friends. It's in an interesting and beautiful historic area, Starved Rock.
