I had one of the worst experiences of my life at Pinstripes Northbrook — and on my birthday, of all days. What should have been a celebration turned into a deeply upsetting and humiliating night because of the blatantly racist treatment I received. No guest should ever feel targeted, disrespected, or unwelcome because of their race, but that’s exactly how I was treated. Instead of enjoying a special occasion with friends and family, I was left feeling hurt and singled out. Racism has no place anywhere — especially not in a business that claims to offer hospitality and community. Management needs to take accountability, retrain staff, and make sure that every single customer is treated with dignity and respect. Until then, I cannot recommend this location to anyone.
We had a dinner reservation at 6:30 and a bowling reservation at 7:30, per their recommendation, but dinner service was so slow that we didn't start bowling until after 8:30. And, the hostesses were not friendly or pleasant at all. The food was good and the bowling was fun, but the overall experience was disappointing and expensive.
They didn't have our reservation. Even after I showed the hostess my reservation she just kept repeating I DON'T HAVE A RESERVATION. It was not crowded....many empty tables, in and out. Finally I said, could you still seat us? So she did. I guess I made a mistake and mentioned it to our server, specifically saying there might be something wrong with their system. My husband said that our server didn't like that and we had very pokey service and very short, abrupt interactions. We were there for over 95 minutes!
My daughter had her wedding at this venue on 8/4/25. From the point of discussing the space, to reviewing the contract, to discussing options, to answering ALL of our questions, to the tasting, to the day of, our event coordinator (not sure that's her specific title) Amanda was nothing short of stellar. She was patient, thorough, and accommodating ensuring that my daughter was comfortable in a very important time of her life. Our event captain (again not sure of her title) Kylie also was amazing -- handling each of our requests quickly and pleasantly. These two ladies are an asset to your company & should be commended for their fantastic work ethic. All the event staff from the bartenders, to servers, to bus boys were pleasant and efficient. The food was delicious as well. Our event was amazing & memorable largely due to the associates we interacted with.
Service was terrible. Food was okay. Have loved going to brunch at Pinstripes in past, but won't be going again.
Took a friend there for her birthday. My Husband HIGHLY recommends the french dip. I like the super salad. We all agreed that whenever we get a flatbread we always say we need to get them more often. The only disappointment was the dessert, brownie was very dry. the ice cream on it was necessary. Otherwise, everything we've had, to this point, was very tasty
Pinstripes is a unique venue. The Bocci courts and bowling lanes are a fun diversion, and round out a wonderful evening entertainment. The food service relies on a team approach, which can lack focus on diner's needs. For the most party, the staff is young and attentive, knows the menu and is helpful in explaining the menu, knowledgeable about the items being offered. Weather permitting, the outside dining area is delightful, and much quieter. We've enjoyed the restaurant individually, with our grandchildren, for special events and group dining with old friends, and will continue to include Pinstripes in our plans.
We were very disappointed when we got there tonight)(two for Tuesday) to find out that we couldn't order the chef's specials. I called before I made the reservation to ask about the Tuesday deal and was told we could order anything from the menu. The food was delicious as always but we were all set on ordering from the chef's specials!
Love the Tuesday BOGO! Same great food but it's a real deal. Would come anyway, but nice to get a great but it's nice to get a treat. All the food is exceptional ! Order anything. You won't be disappointed.
Good food. Quick seating and greeting. It took a bit to order appetizers, but everything else was great.

As usual the food was outstanding. The service was amazing. I will say that a "simple" reservation turned out to be a bit more than I expected when 2 people I did not expect showed up. the managers and server all responded quickly and found room. Our server Alondra was so kind and patient with our group. And we were surprised with the birthday ice cream, and hat for not 1 but 2 in the group. I can't wait to return when the temps are a bit better so we can enjoy the outdoor dining area. thanks again for making our lunch so memorable.
We had 2 uneven/rocking chairs, had to ask for forgotten drinks, food came before place settings. I had to flag someone down to clear our plates after at least 20 minutes of being done, and again after sitting & waiting for the check. I have come here several times and this was an outlier, but worth mentioning because it was notably lacking.
I love the food but hate the noise level. We arrived at 5:30 and could easily speak to each other. By the time it was 6:30 we couldn't hear the person sitting next to us. This will be a terrific place when the weather gets warmer and you can eat outside.
The food and service was great. The selection of food is fantastic. The server was checking on us. I will be back
Great spaghetti and especially great chopped salad. Love the white balsamic vinegar dressing.
