I have spent 4 months in South Korea and was luckily able to experience and enjoy authentic KBBQ during that time. Since then, this restaurant has been the only one in the Chicagoland area that has been able to, not only match, but exceed my expectations. The food is authentic and super yummy (a solid 12 on a scale of 1-10). The customer service is beyond expectation and the atmosphere is perfect as well. I would absolutely recommend to anyone. I have been here on multiple occasions...
I've never had BBQ restaurants charged for steamed egg. All other korean BBQ restaurants don't charge for the steamed egg and it comes with as a side dish. Also, this place charge tips on the bill for party of 5 more. I would understand if servers help to cook BBQ, but all they do is to bring the food, and they charge 20% + tips on the bill which is redicul. Quality and the portion of the meat are keep reducing. They need to think about the way how to improve food quality...
meat is fresh and beautiful, one of the only places out here with my favorite banchan (pickled garlic leaves), service is great, if you aren’t korean and having any trouble they’ll give you helpful advice without hovering or making you feel dumb :)
