This is a great classic and local place! This is the place that if you know you know. I've been coming since I was a little girl. It's part of our ancestry story. Definitely a ladies lunch NM Cafe can make any day feel special.

It's a lovely place for lunch. It's very open and bright. Pleasant atmosphere with a fine menu and many good choices. U can hv a choice of wine, beer and of course soda. The servers are professional. U start with a chicken broth started and marvelous popovers with strawberry butter. My husband had a hamburger. I had a chicken dish. My friends has a delicious salad. We were all pleased. I would say it is a little pricey but what isn't these days? Try it yourself.

Perfect spot for a girlfriend birthday celebration. Sparkling brut and a salad plus lots of laughs! Our server was excellent and brought a surprise birthday cookie. Loved our window table and the time together.

There should be a no cell phone rule at the table. A very loud man had an escalated voice and another table sharing videos with volume was very disturbing. Salad cam out in 5 minutes (obviously premade) and very cold.

This is a hidden gem and definitely not something to miss! I just recently was introduced to this outstanding café tucked away in the Neiman Marcus store at Northbrook Court, and all I can say is "why didn't I know about this place earlier?" I've been a customer of Neiman Marcus for many many years and frequent the three Chicago area stores often, but it wasn't until a good friend invited me to lunch a few weeks ago when I had the opportunity to experience all NM Café had to offer. The food was top-notch, as well as all the staff who made my visit one I won't forget - and one I look forward to again on my next visit! I could write a short novel describing each of the many aspects of my experience and how great they all were, but words can't do it justice. Instead I encourage everyone reading this to make the time to experience it for yourself and put NM Café on your short list of outstanding places to go for lunch. It really is that good! 👍👍

Not a good value. $21 for a tuna sandwich. But, food was good and server was great. The dining room could use a redo! Tired decor.

popovers were delicious as usual, although the strawberry butter was rather bland. the food was not as good as I remembered. Chicken salad did not have customary bacon-healthier but again a little bland. Overall an okay meal just not as outstanding as it was in the past
