I wish I could give this place zero stars. This was honestly the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in Illinois. If you’re Black, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place—I felt from the beginning that we were not treated with the same respect or care as other customers. The manager’s attitude came across as passive-aggressive, and at times, her behavior felt racially insensitive.
We ordered birria tacos, which came out extremely burnt, and I found hair in my food. When I reported it, the manager asked to see the hair, as if I was lying. We decided to exchange the food for another option, but in hindsight, we should have left. The replacement meal came out, and my friend found hair in her burger as well. Before the food even arrived, the manager made a sarcastic comment like, “Let me move these utensils since there’s hair floating around,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional.
Our waiter barely checked on us and avoided our table like he didn’t want to deal with us at all. The whole experience was unprofessional and uncomfortable. And for the record—stop assuming Black customers don’t have money or don’t tip. Even after all of this, I still tipped the waiter, though he didn’t deserve it.
The food wasn’t good either. The corn tasted like it was drenched in straight lime juice. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant. Save your money and your time.

The food was terrible, along with the service! I had the Enchilada entrée which had no flavor!, the rice was full of butter and cilantro only, and only 2 tbsps of Pinto beans!?? The brown mole sauce was also terrible tasting! The entrée came to me luke warm. I asked to have a hot entrée brought to me, but it was (of course) only re-warmed! I informed my server, who was very slow with service, that I did not enjoy my meal. She stated that she would inform the manager. The manager came 10 mins later and I explained to her about my experience. She asked if I wanted something else to take to go, and I said no, thank you. She then said she would adjust my bill. It took her another 20 mins to return, but I did not wait! I will not visit this restaurant again! Hard to believe that it is a popular spot for dining.

We went for dinner at blanco and we were disappointed.They said they ran out of nachos and they will get it for us in sometime but they never bothered to come back and update on the status. The waitress was too busy I guess to give us an update. This is disappointing from Mexican restaurant of not having nachos . I have dined here before and thats why I resisted here but as this was my recent experience and I would definitely rethink if I want to visit again or not.

Great food and ambience. Server was a bit uninterested - hard to hear and didn't know menu or drinks very well. A little pricey for the smallish portions but very tasty.
Our server was very attentive and the food was great once again! Always a great meal at blanco !

The food leaves much to be desired. I asked if the street corn was like traditional elotes or a twist on elotes. The waiter assured me they were traditional and very good. The elotes were drowned in tajin which overpowered everything else (I've never personally had elotes with tajin but I'm sure someone likes it). There was a pretty long break between ordering appetizers and entrees which after looking at other reviews seems to be on brand. When ordering entrees, I asked the waiter if we were able to order the various tacos a la carte or if they only allowed for you to order the taco plates. He said I could do that, just tell him what tacos I want. He proceeded to bring me 2 taco plates and when I told him I only wanted 1 taco plate with additional tacos on the side, he said those tacos are only ordered as taco plates which is why I had 2 full plates. I'm not sure how this was lost in translation but at this point I was irritated and just wanted to leave so I told him it was fine, someone at the table would eat off of it. The carne asada tacos were the only thing I would recommend. I was thoroughly surprised to get beans and white rice with corn in it. I attended for someone's birthday so I didn't look into the menu or restaurant at all so I was a bit disappointed that it was not exactly traditional Mexican food. Overall, I would not recommend.

Great waiter, Dominic, and food was pretty good. I know it's Oakbrook but I find the prices a bit too high. And in particular, the drinks - over $15 for a skinny margarita! This was my second time here and my visit almost a year ago seemed more enjoyable. Maybe it's because I went for lunch and I think the lunch menu might be more moderately priced!!

This was our first visit to this restaurant, and our initial opinions were all positive. We love the decor, and the ambience. We came at lunch on a Sunday, and there weren't many people when we arrived at 12:30. By 3 PM when we were leaving, the restaurant was about 2/3 full. We ordered a variety of entrées,, and everyone enjoyed them. We very much enjoyed the salty chips and the flavorful salsa. Our server was also very friendly. We would definitely return!
