Was in the area for a work trip. Decided to bring my child a cupcake as a nice little surprise..Wasted money.For 5 dollars a cupcake, I felt they were small.. I thought "It's a cute little business that put a lot of thought into their design, the cake Has to be good!"Nope. All the effort went into design but not quality. The cake part of the cupcake tasted like egg. Very "cheap box mix" flavor.The consistency of the icing was great but the flavors were very muted.As for the filing? Very lacking in quality and amount. Bigger cupcakes would mean more filling.I've had better cupcakes at bake sales.

Can’t tell you about the cupcakes as we never had a chance to order. The sales girl working at the time of our visit (app 2 or 2:30pm April, 08th, 2024) was far too busy on a personal call to even acknowledge our presence in the store until we, after several minutes of staring and pointing at things in the display, walked out. She could not have cared less. Good luck, with employees like her, you are going to need it.

Looks way better than it tastes. I ordered 4 cupcakes - white chocolate raspberry, crème brûlée, blueberry cheesecake, and peach cobbler. They all tasted the same! And overall dry! The same base for each cupcake with a small filling that wasnt special tasting. Tasted like an almond batter that took over the flavor of each cupcake. Honestly I don't recommend. I've had WAY better. You're really paying for the aesthetic.

Horrible cupcakes, Horrible service. Left a tip and they wouldn’t even put my cupcakes in a bag, she threw the bag on the counter for me to bag and went back to her conversation with her coworker. As if it couldn’t get worse, I have no words to describe these cupcakes, just horrible. I would rate this place a 0 if possible. Terrible Experience.

usually they have really kind welcoming employees at this location, but today there were two younger girls working who made it seem like my family and i were inconveniencing them with our presence. they helped a couple before we came in, and as soon as they walked in they gave us nasty glares for not allowing them to go back to their conversation. as a fellow retail worker at oakbrook i understand wanting a break from people coming in constantly, but i understand as a paid worker i can put on a kind smile and help the people that make it possible for me to get a paycheck. i hope this location uses reviews like this to improve their customer service.

While shopping in Oak Brook this week on a whim stopped in Molly's and bought cupcakes for my husband and myself and also my son and his family, so 6 total. They were the best cupcakes I ever had! Can't believe how moist and delicious they were. I definitely plan on going back.
To the awesome employee who worked on my DoorDash order on 11/18: not sure who but just wanted to recognize this person for going above and beyond on my cupcake instructions. This person did exactly what I requested word for word and didn't call me with any issues regarding a birthday present I sent with Molly's Cupcakes' help since I am out of state. I understand it was a unique task but this employee executed it perfectly and didn't give me a hard time and for that, I super appreciate it. So huge shoutout to this location for their service and dedication, I'd highly recommend to anyone!

A nice variety of baked goods. The price is high, but the cupcakes were fresh, sweet , and it was easy in and out. $10 for 2 pieces.

I am shocked at all the bad reviews. I've been going since they opened this location. It has been nothing but good experiences. The ladies working are always nice and the cupcakes are the best tasting in the Chicagoland area. They're not too dense yet not too fluffy like some places, they are just perfect. My favorites are the cookie monster and cookies & cream. My only con would be that it's not a full service store where you can't sit down, but it's in the mall and plenty of seating nearby.

Such a cute, standalone bakery in Oak Brook Center. Delicious and moist cupcakes as well as tasty other treats available. They provided the cupcakes for my recent birthday party at the nearby Pinstripes. My guests loved them. The cupcakes were all beautiful in appearance as well as varied in flavors. I will continue to order again and again from here.

Though visually appealing, the cupcake I ordered simply did not taste good. I had the white chocolate raspberry and the frosting tasted like wax with berries that had gone bad. The actual cake portion was very small and not special in any way. The price was too high for what you get. I really wanted to like this but can understand why there never seems to be customers inside. Although the shop was cute, I would not return. It is also in a bad location. If you want an excellent cupcake every time, go to Smallcakes.
