Really good BBQ and the food was great, but honestly the woman at the register made the experience even better. She was super nice and took the time to walk us through the menu and explain everything. She mentioned how everything is made from scratch, which I really liked. You can tell they take pride in their food. Definitely a place I’d come back to!
Tried this BBQ spot not long ago, and it’s since become my favorite BBQ spot in the city. The BBQ is great, and the sides are just as good. They also have specials every once in a while, like beef ribs, and smoked corn beef that are definitely worth looking out for. Highly recommend giving this place a try!
David is an excellent cook and very nice owner. So very thoughtful: I was to pick up 3 slabs of my now favorite bbq ribs, and got turned around trying to do the pickup. It was 45 minutes past my pickup time when my cell phone rang. I called the number back and it was 101 BBQ! I was so happy when the recording was interrupted by a pickup. 101 BBQ is a restaurant that serves really good BBQ. The food is great, and the service is outstanding. The staff are nice and take the time to walk through the menu and explain everything. Everything is made from scratch, and they take pride in their food. The BBQ is great, and the sides are just as good. Specials like beef ribs and smoked corn beef are worth looking out for. The ribs are tender and very flavorful, and the Pork Belly is to die for. The Ribs are nothing short of perfection, and you do not even need the sauce. The Potatoes are delicious, and so were the baked beans. The pickles are amazing. They show you the meat if it is your first time and how they cut it against the grain. The sliced brisket is one of the best, and the chopped brisket is a 10/10. The sauce is amazing as well. The price is right, and the food is delicious. The service, staff, and food are consistently kind, engaging, and the food delicious. The best, fresh and hot BBQ in and around Oak Lawn and the Chicagoland area.
