I had a terrible experience here. I use to come here often as we enjoyed the food but my last experience here changed everything. Last time I came here the manger was rude to my friends and I and we were displeased with the service. We wanted to talk to the person in charge but they were not there. I tried calling a few days later and the owner still was not in so I asked for contact information. Afterwards I emailed the owner to not only inform them of our experience but how things were handled too. I never heard back and no one tried to rectify the situation so I will no longer be dining here.

I really want to like this place, but every time I'm a little let down. Service slow whether there is 6 people or full house. The pasta with chicken is mid at best, the French dip is dry hard pieces or brisket with a au ju that is like motor oil and tastes burnt. Our server was lovely but we never got a drink with our meal and forgot to bring crafes. Saw two hosts and multiple bussers but yet had to ask multiple times to remove plates and glasses as there was no room on the table. I hope they do better as its close by.

I came in for some good food and solo time and got more than I expected! GREAT FOOD and a Great Environment. An exceptionally over the top bartender (Arianna) made the experience that much better. I’m not from this state but it could definitely feel like home. Awesome Service. Awesome Food. I will definitely be back!
P.S. - Did I Forget To Say Arianna Rocks?! The table next to me was singing her praise and I see why now!

I want to start by saying the staff are amazing and the vibes are so beautiful, but the food is absolutely nothing to write home about. My fries were okay but my entree was just not good at all, kinda made me sad but it's okay! Maybe its just what I ate, but the service was nice.
We had a large group for a Bears watch party. Our server was excellent handling a myriad of orders. Large back room with a projection screen made for excellent viewing. Full bar and great draft, canned, and bottled beer selections. Absolutely will be at Avenue Ale House again.

This is going to be a harsh but honest review - because I really struggle with this place. I live in the neighborhood, and I want Avenue Ale House to succeed, but they just keep shooting themselves in the foot. I just had my third consecutive bad experience here and i’m done with this place. I’ve been here enough times, over a long enough period of time, to confidently say that the owner of this restaurant invests zero dollars or effort into repairing or improving the experience.
This is the only restaurant where we’re literally the only customers and we still have to walk over to the bar to ask for something. The servers are all sitting there, looking at their phones. The food, which was once decent, is now very mediocre, the bathrooms are always nasty (like they have a long standing and very unaddressed plumbing problem that causes them to smell bad - like, they literally try to mask it with fans and candles), fruit flies swarm your beer, and the service is exceptionally sub par. If you go for lunch on a weekend, there are always more employees than there are customers and I suspect that this place is slowly marching toward its inevitable death. I fully anticipate driving by one day and seeing a handwritten “closed for remodeling” sign taped to the window, only to have the place never reopen again. One star out of obligation, another for ambience.

The food has gotten much better recently. Had the pork tacos, tuna salad and potato skins. All excellent. Hard to justify $16.50 for one neat Buffalo Trace bourbon however. Very quiet-no diners at all at 6PM on a Friday evening.
