This cute little bakery/coffee shop is right across the street from our hotel in Oak Park, so my sis and I decided to pop over to get coffee this (Sunday) morning. I got an eggnog latte -- which I don't see often after Starbucks stopped selling them -- so couldn't resist, plus a dirty chai for my teen daughter. My sister got a drip coffee. We both also got cheddar scallion cream scones and my sister got a broccoli cheddar strata. Plus I got a box of 24 (tiny) cookies. First, the negatives. My sis said the broccoli cheddar strata was just okay. She asked them to heat it up but it wasn't all that hot, but she thought it would be better if you took it home and heated it in the toaster/smart oven. In addition, DD's dirty chai was very watery, so I'm not sure what happened there. I tasted it myself and it was bad. She threw it away. The positives though are enough for 4 stars. The coffee and the eggnog latte were excellent. In fact, the eggnog latte was so good my daughter had me take her back there to get one for herself. The cheddar scone was incredible - again it was so good that my daughter got another one when we went back. I haven't tried a cookie yet, but both of my kids and my sis say they are also great. Plus the service was great, with very friendly employees. Overall, I highly recommend it. I would return the next time we are in town.UPDATE: Now that I've eaten some cookies, I had to come back and recommend the chocolate chip shortbread, the vanilla bean shortbread, and the peppermint sugar cookie. OMG, those flavors are so good. I wish I could go back and get more, but I've returned to my Indy suburb.

Baked goods are good, rather expensive, they don’t accept cash which is annoying and a turn off for me.

SO yummy! I got the Blackout Mocha and a Lemon Blueberry Sticky Bread Pudding. The mocha is probably the best I have ever had--just the right amount of sweetness. The bread pudding was amazing. I heated it up just a little when I got home and it was perfect!Employees were friendly and the atmosphere was modern but cozy. Very well-branded. Not a lot of seating, but would be a really nice place to settle in and get a little work done. They also have some dry goods for sale that include their hot chocolate mixes! Yum!

Wonderful spot all around. I like to try a different cookie or baked good when I come in. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. They even have dog treats. However, the pup will need to wait outside.
