I visited on 4/2/22, I could not believe how good the fried chicken wings were, no fries, I slice of bread, 4 wings. I bragged to a friend, said I had to go back. I saw everybody working there, 3 people ahead of me, they say not fast food and it wasn't. I went back 4/29/22, I saw 3 people working there, One lady was not there when I went the first time, I am sure she is the one who prepared my wings, they tasted different, not done and not seasoned the same, a different cook....read full review
This is EXCELLENT soul food with very friendly staff! A real treat and reasonably priced.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time now. Their menu looks incredible. However the first time I went was in early June. I sat for more than 15 minutes without even being acknowledged. There were only 3 or 4 tables and most had nothing and were eagerly awaiting service. I couldn’t wait any longer so I went to Loui’s across the street. Today I went again. A little better at first. The Butter and Brown Bistro offers an incredible jerk skillet and phenomenal shrimp and grits, though customers may need to be patient for their food. While the establishment could use more help, the Black-owned business is praised for its great food despite the owner doing it all alone. Customers are encouraged to visit and support this establishment.
