Great atmosphere and the noise level was ideal for having a conversation and not feeling like you're yelling the entire time. Really nice low-key lighting which is very warm and inviting. This was my first time here, and it was recommended by my date. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food, while not really my central focus - we shared the Burrata appetizer and the Gnocchi which we really enjoyed. As of this writing, she had agreed to another date. Thank you Citrine!!!

We had a really nice time at Citrine Cafe. From the great location to the welcoming ambiance, everything set the tone for a pleasant visit. Our server provided excellent service, which made the experience even better. This place is truly a gem for Oak Park. The food was really good and had a nice rustic touch that felt thoughtful and comforting. A special thank you for the complimentary limoncello—it was a lovely touch and much appreciated. We will definitely be coming back.

Citrine is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant that has good vibe, excellent drinks and very good food. Always appreciate the excellent service and attention to detail. Definitely a regular place for me, my family and friends.

Some places just have "it"! Best Balkan wine list in Chicagoland - OK. one of the few, but still good - truly the best whitefish preparation with a rich but light beurre blanc with earthy mushrooms and a perfectly sautéed (baked?) filet -a nice grilled octopus appetizer and several other choices of starters, salads and mains - every dish that passed our table looked as good or better than the next. But to not mention the exceptional service - servers, runners, ownership and bussers - would be to leave out the only thing better than the food. A bit animated for easy conversation on a busy Saturday night, ask for Dan's station in the back corner or Alisa's ante-room around the corner from the kitchen - both provide a bit more tame ambiance to converse. A second visit, I would go back weekly - just for the whitefish!

This place is a local gem that never disappoints. It has relaxed feel. The bar is well stocked and the wine list is interesting. The dinner menu brings some interesting twists to family favorites by virtue of its Serbian heritage.
