Service good and atmosphere good but not at all authentic and for a place with this name you expect it. Who serves a thick crust Margherita pizza? It just tasted like bread with a sour tomato on it. If you order a Margherita pizza you expect a thin, airy crust, and Marzano tomatoes are the standard, known for their sweet flavor and low acidity, light toppings, and a nice crisp bake. What I got was thick crust with marinara sauce with chopped tomatos on top and very sparing mozzarella. Please do your research or do not call it that. The one additional stars are for the nice server who had no fault of course.

It was my first time eating here which is crazy because I work in Oak Park and never knew it was here. The ambiance is cozy, the food was delicious and service was great! The bacon wrapped dates were so good, the beet salad was good but nothing spectacular, pizzas are fairly large, the fig pizza was plentiful with toppings and delicious! And the fruity de mare pasta, fresh ingredients and great flavor. I will definately be back.
