Went here only because reviews say vegan options. They had one vegan item that wasn't even a donut. I got the Sydney doughnut which has cherry cream filling but it's very artificial cherry flavored cream and the doughnut itself was pretty basic and nothing special. Have to ask for a key to the restroom like a shady gas station. $5.95 for the doughnut which was very meh. Go to Stan's instead. Plus your gonna pay to park for an average doughnut.

Discovered this cute little spot by happenstance and popped in for a quick snack. The inside space is small, but it’s perfect for decompressing if you’re an introvert like myself. There’s also an outside patio to soak up the sun if it’s a bright day! I ordered a regular donut with whole milk and got to people-watch while waiting for a date. Will definitely stop by every now and then for a nice getaway before therapy.

Got two donuts and a latte! They have a good amount of options for drinks, both iced and hot, coffee and tea! A nice display of donuts too, half a case for classic and fancier donuts. Very tasty either way! They also have specials, I had The Surprise which is a long John style donut with banana creme. Very good! I recommend for drinks the Iced Cherry Mocha, I only had a normal latte with the syrup but with mocha it'd def have an extra oomph. Very nice and friendly staff too! They were both attentive and explained to me what was available (and mentioned about the donut filling). I came before and it was also super great.

Australian travellers are always looking for a good coffee. This is the right place - and the bonus is all the delicious donuts. My go to is an Americano coffee - paired with a Jam donut (jelly). I was served by the delightful Elle who is definitely an asset to this business. Will pop in again soon.

I’m visiting Chicago and I searched for nearby donuts! Wow did I get lucky! This place is amazing. The donuts are fresh and so many flavors! The money bread donut was so good! The Margarita donut was my favorite! I tasted the pineapple coconut fritter so amazing! I love the gluten free and vegan options they have available too. I’m taking some back to PA! Check them out.

Small location, really only good for walking in and grabbing a to go order. Good staff. I don't like the matcha they use and I can't stand their coffee. Patiently waiting for them to bring back the rhubarb fritter.

Visited because the friend we are staying with while visiting knows someone who works here. I had a limited time pumpkin pie donut and it was REALLY good. Really enjoyed it. Had more of a cake texture than a donut one.
The one down of the place is the size. One big table and a bit of bar seating. A bit of a cramped space, so keep that in mind.
Parking: Parked in old navy parking lot, even though I don’t think that’s technically allowed.
I guess coming in the late afternoon is not a great idea, because the donuts were dry. Didn't have a good impression compared to the other glowing reviews.

Have been a devoted fan since they opened downtown. Ordered from u er eats this morning and I definitely got old donuts. When you’re paying $4 a donut, they need to be fresh, otherwise I might as well go to D&D.
Edited to add a response to restaurants response: those that know firecakes fresh donuts, know they are still wet. The frosting isn’t hard or set, it’s actually still messy to eat. The dough is soft and not hard. The donuts I received at 8am were definitely not freshly made. I say this especially because when you order early, you get the freshest donuts… the frosting was set and the dough was dry and hardened. It was not made that day.

Every time I stop in this shop, the girls working behind the counter are soooo sweet and helpful! When picking out birthday treats they always offer extras like a cute box, birthday candle, etc. They’re so nice it just puts me in the best mood to start my day!
