Travelled from Virginia and wanted to try “classic Chicago pie”. Wasn’t disappointed. Learned that the pie took 40 min+ to cook, so we had a quick chicken parmigiana sandwich (perfect). Decided to order the pie anyways, toured the Frank Lloyd studio nearby, then came back to get our food. We’ve had it for two meals, and super delicious! Even cold the crust was amazing. Folks need to stop complaining and just embrace this wonderful regional masterpiece.
The pizza itself is great but expect to wait 40 mins minimum even if there's no one else in the restaurant. This is just the time it takes to make the pizza, so it is what it is. Just passing the word along...I still recommend this location over one downtown as the wait for the food alone will be doubled or tripled due to the crowds.
I’ve been to so many Giordano’s but this one was SO beautiful & full of Chicago cultural history !!!! Really nicely decorated, I loved the atmosphere! and the service was nice, my waiter was really sweet!
