The majority of food is fried. The chicken was good but my fries were very undercooked. The spicy sauce was very good. The staff weren’t that friendly or at least don’t seem to care to be there. The place could definitely be a cleaner. The floor and tables were greasy but you may expect that when they are frying food all day.
Parking: Parking is limited in downtown Oak Park. Definitely take the first spot you find even if it’s a block away.

Always go for the wings and Perch… this time the fish smelled off as if it was not fresh so we passed on eating it. I was super disappointed because it’s always fresh. They stopped paying phone and website bills, clearly, so we had to go to the shop to order because their phones weren’t working and website was down. When we informed the staff she was annoyed. We love to patron this location but it is a struggle when you cannot get in contact with the restaurant and food quality changes. Sanitation needs a major improvement if they want people to eat inside. It always smells like dirty mop water and unclean bathroom.

Visited the restaurant to pick up a order I placed through grubhub. Two guys sitting at the cash register eating tacos, I ask about my order, they tell me they don’t have grubhub. I show my order, then he states they don’t have internet service. Talking to me with a mouth full of food, I had to walk out. Management should ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Honest review: It's a chicken and shrimp shack. Don't expect a fancy, chandelier hanging 5 star dining experience. The service was good. Then again, she was only taking orders at the front register. Now, if you only want great fried chicken or shrimp, this is the place. Great food. Try it.

Idk what’s up with all the low reviews but it was so good when I went. I’m pregnant and was craving the 4 piece wing dinner and it was everything I expected. I didn’t get coleslaw with the dinner and had to keep asking for things like napkins and hot sauce but the food itself was good and hot. Definitely satisfied my craving ?

I went to Harold's Chicken on Wabash in Chicago & loved it. So much do that I wanted more. I'm from Chicago but now reside in Florida so while in town I definitely eat. So the next day I ordered from this location. IT was not the same. Not even the mild sauce. Thank Goodness I had left over REAL MILD SAUCE.People whom aren't from here they would like it But not myself.

Can’t even comment on the food because my order was never filled. They say they don’t offer online ordering but will take your money after you use the “spot on” online ordering option on their website. All this wouldn’t be an a super huge issue if the workers were helpful and the manager/owner wasn’t such a jerk. Save your money, go to KFC or Popeyes.
