They never failed to impress, the food is delicious. The drinks are always amazing and they make every effort to make sure every customer leaves happy..

There were four diners and we ordered an appetizer and entrees. The appetizer came 5 minutes AFTER the entrees were served. The appetizer was paid for, but remained largely uneaten. I suppose we could have taken it home, but it was not the meal we were anticipating.

Kinda thinking the place was just over priced for the quality of food but was good try it out but will not go back

A great experience. Staff was eager to ensure we had an excellent table. The meals were outstanding. We ordered the Filet Mignon with Yuca and the Platos Fuertes Pescado. We concluded with the fried ice cream.

I had an incredible dinner at Hoja Santa in Oak Park. I ordered the medium-rare NY Strip Steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The yuca fries with chimichurri were on a whole different level; truly out of this world. I paired everything with two glasses of cabernet, which made the whole meal even better. The ambiance is quiet and comfortable, making it a great spot to unwind, and the location is super convenient. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were genuinely attentive and made me feel as if I had been there many times before—like a regular. That kind of warmth is rare and really elevated the experience. Highly recommend.

We were excited to celebrate my husband's birthday but unfortunately our experience was fine - nothing special. Drinks were good and most of the food was good except a few people in our party had to send back our steaks because they weren't cooked as we had requested. Our server was nice but for some reason, plates and empty glasses weren't picked up in a timely fashion. Perhaps maybe it was an off day but not sure we will plan to return anytime soon.

The food was great and the atmosphere was lovely. However, the service could definitely be improved. There were only three tables when we arrived, yet our experience felt neglected. I ordered a side of truffle mac and cheese but received mashed potatoes instead. Throughout the meal, we had to constantly flag her down whenever we needed something because she was too busy on her phone. My husband also never received the drink refill he asked for. When we were ready for the check, we called her several times but she seemed more interested in her phone. We were never asked if we wanted dessert or offered the dessert menu either.

The food and setting were wonderful, but unfortunately, the inattentive service really took away from the overall experience.

We had a fantastic birthday dinner: the food was delicious and very flavorful, with a broad menu offering something for every palate. What really stood out was that we weren’t rushed—despite the restaurant closing, the staff let us linger and enjoy our time. Highly recommend for a relaxed and enjoyable celebration!!!!

The place itself is so pretty. Perfect for girls night, brunch and or just fun date ! The food is missing a little something. I can totally see the concept but maybe just a little under seasoned. I'm definitely going to go back and give them another try. The Drinks were popping! Those are spot on. As soon as the food is addressed this place will be unstoppable!

Hoja Santa delivers high quality, authentic Mexican cuisine in a warm and inviting setting. The skirt steak was outstanding, perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of rich flavor. The service was attentive and professional, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. If you appreciate well executed food and a great dining experience, Hoja Santa is worth the visit. I will be back.

I was pretty disappointed with the food here. I was super excited cause it’s a Latin cuisine restaurant in my area, but fiavors were lacking, and the carne asada was not a premium cut. Not worth the money. If in the area, go to Rústico or Maya del Sol. So much better.

Amazing food, fire drinks, cozy atmosphere. Not too large of a restaurant so intimacy shines here. Service was good and crowd was excellent. Ordered couple drinks, the quac, and the skirt steak w Mexican corn and asparagus. Finished w the flan. Recommended to all and most definitely would come back.

While the food and service were both great, we ended up getting hit with a $120 service fee for a fifth member of our party, who was a 10-month-old in a high chair... and didn't even tell us! This is extremely shady and not how a restaurant should treat its patrons, especially ones who drove over an hour to dine there.

We had quesa birria, two sandwiches and Birria Pizza all of them were delicious.
I would give the quesa birria 10/10 the steak Sandwich 10/10 and the quesa Birria pizza a 8/10. For drinks we had Paloma’s and margaritas both were 10/10
