A great experience. Staff was eager to ensure we had an excellent table. The meals were outstanding. We ordered the Filet Mignon with Yuca and the Platos Fuertes Pescado. We concluded with the fried ice cream.
I had an incredible dinner at Hoja Santa in Oak Park. I ordered the medium-rare NY Strip Steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The yuca fries with chimichurri were on a whole different level; truly out of this world. I paired everything with two glasses of cabernet, which made the whole meal even better. We were excited to celebrate my husband's birthday but unfortunately our experience was fine - nothing special. Drinks were good and most of the food was good except a few people in our party had to send back our steaks because they weren't cooked as we had requested. Our server was nice but for some reason, plates and empty glasses weren't picked up in a timely fashion. Perhaps maybe it was an off day but not sure we will plan to return anytime soon.
