Huge fan. As Americanized Thai places go this is tops. When I order spicy, I get it. I enjoy their take on salmon nicoise, with a beautiful dressing. The curries are very good. I would like to know if there is a hidden menu where unamericanized Thai exists.

Vegetarian options: You can get almost dish vegetarian

I used to eat here many years ago and I’m happy the quality has not changed at all. The food is always flavorful and spicy in the right amount.

Pad Thai was bland and mushy. Mango fried rice had unripe chunks of bland mango in it.

I ordered spicy pad thai, i let the server know. She kept denying it and got upset so my and my date decided to be the bigger person and just accept it.

Was charged an additional $5 for duck in the of Thai AS well as additional $5 for beef in the pad see ew. I did not see any of those charges on the menu and was upset that it was not expressed. There was about two small pieces of duck in the pad Thai, which is really sad considering the extra charge. Both dishes were bland. Although, the Shrimp in a blanket were delicious. The restaurant was pretty empty and I understand why.

Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance would be extremely difficult to get a wheelchair thru because of narrowness of the enterance

I’ve been coming here for years. First started coming here as a little girl, and now I come in with my fiancé or family. Atmosphere is very nice, staff are extremely friendly, and food is amazing. Very consistently on point. Personally I love their chicken fried rice, chicken pad Thai, and their egg rolls. I also love the red curry sauce, so delicious, and the crab fried rice. Oh and I can’t forget their chicken satay! One of our favorites! There’s so many good dishes though, you can’t go wrong. Go here for amazing service, and amazing food! I can tell you for sure it is so worth it. I’ve been coming here for almost twenty years, 17 I think. Definitely my go to place to get food that feels like it’s cooked with love. Also, the decorations and paintings are definitely beautiful, and so many kids love looking at them. Overall, a phenomenal restaurant, staff, and food.

Vegetarian options: Many people I know go here for dishes they can eat!

Dietary restrictions: I’m gluten free, and luckily since I found out, I haven’t had to stop coming to one of my absolute favorite restaurants! They’re very accommodating and have a list of what’s gluten free or can be made gluten free!

Kid-friendliness: Kids are very welcome here, and they even have crayons for them to draw! Staff is very sweet to children :)

A perk of a pedestrian lifestyle is a spontaneous pop in for some Mama Thai. To go was the garlic chicken noodle but I dined in for their Wonton soup and it never disappoints. Both

I used to go to Mama Thai all the time and literally have not been there in years… Over five or six. Decided to stop in the other day with my daughter, and I was shocked to find that we were the only ones there during lunch. We ordered the pad Thai and the crab fried rice. The Pad Thai was a little too sweet for my taste, but the crab fried rice was delicious. I will be getting that again for sure. A little pricey but it’s a large portion so you can eat it over two days. Definitely glad we stopped in.

Good food (roast duck) and interesting cultural atmosphere.

Vegetarian options: Anything can be ordered easily without meat. Some dishes already don’t have meat.

Excellent Thai food. Friendly and caring services. The place is nicely decorated with a cozy authenic Thai atmosphere. However, the food is a bit too sweet for a native Thai like myself. But the taste is reasonably close enough to being authentic. Better than many Thai restaurants that I have been to in the Chicago area. Highly recommended.
