Chicken empanadas were stuffed and baked. Great flavor, reminiscent of the kinds I would eat in cafes back in Miami. The espresso is wonderful!

I was excited to try this coffee shop. The chicken empanada was good and pleasantly moist—most chicken empanadas tend to be dry, so that was a nice surprise. I also tried the café miel, which is usually my go-to drink. I asked for it half sweet; it was okay, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if it were a bit milkier and slightly less sweet.

Unfortunately, the service affected the experience. When I walked in, I smiled and said hello, but the cashier looked at me blankly and didn’t respond. I felt a bit uncomfortable and had to ask if I ordered at the counter, to which she only nodded. When I asked for my drink half sweet, I also felt that she seemed visibly annoyed. Overall, the interaction felt unwelcoming.

I’m excited to bring my husband back to try the food, but I’m unsure I would return if the overall vibe from the staff remains the same. I love coffee shops, and feeling welcomed is a big part of the experience for me.

I tried the beef empanada and guava and cheese empanada. The beef had a good flavor but was a little dry. The guava and cheese was more sweet than expected for my liking. I would have liked to taste more of the cheese for a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The service was great. I didn’t dine in but it was super cute inside and had a fun, upbeat atmosphere.

I have come here quite a lot especially over the summer. I love the empanadas! But the service it horrible…..my drink was made incorrectly so I asked for it to be remade…instead of remaking it immediately the cashmere had to consult the barista who had to talk to a manager who had to talk to another manager….she asked me if I wanted her to microwave my $7 matcha….i said no I’d like it remade correctly. This is one of a few incidents of weird customer service at Mulata. This is probably the last time I will come here and I will not recommend them to anyone else either.

I'm eating the feijoada as I write this. It is amazing, my compliments to the chef! It is a little pricey for one serving, but it is worth it!!!

Absolutely adore this place. Their empanadas are the best and full of flavor. Cute space, really nice staff and plenty of seating to meet up or get a little work done.

The best matcha I have ever had in my life by far. I had the strawberries and cream matcha and my friend got the banana bread latte and they were both phenomenal. Highly recommend and will be going back tomorrow before we head back out of town! The staff was also incredibly kind and accommodating!

I have tried almost every single item on this menu on different occasions and everything is delicious, the staff is wonderful. You will see the owner front and center here taking care of her cafe and being very sweet to children. I came in last week while some protests were going on across the street and people were harassing this business totally unacceptable behavior, if you see random 1 star reviews here it’s probably the local woke community trying to bash a hardworking business owner. Try her food for yourselves.

Love this spot, food is delicious and latte are top tier. Always take the staff’s suggestions! Had the Cardamom Mocha, only wish I would have gotten a large! Delicious
