Mulata Kitchen + Coffee

I have come here quite a lot especially over the summer. I love the empanadas! But the service it horrible…..my drink was made incorrectly so I asked for it to be remade…instead of remaking it immediately the cashmere had to consult the barista who had to talk to a manager who had to talk to another manager….she asked me if I wanted her to microwave my $7 matcha….i said no I’d like it remade correctly. This is one of a few incidents of weird customer service at Mulata. This is probably the last time I will come here and I will not recommend them to anyone else either.

I'm eating the feijoada as I write this. It is amazing, my compliments to the chef! It is a little pricey for one serving, but it is worth it!!!

Absolutely adore this place. Their empanadas are the best and full of flavor. Cute space, really nice staff and plenty of seating to meet up or get a little work done.

The best matcha I have ever had in my life by far. I had the strawberries and cream matcha and my friend got the banana bread latte and they were both phenomenal. Highly recommend and will be going back tomorrow before we head back out of town! The staff was also incredibly kind and accommodating!

I have tried almost every single item on this menu on different occasions and everything is delicious, the staff is wonderful. You will see the owner front and center here taking care of her cafe and being very sweet to children. I came in last week while some protests were going on across the street and people were harassing this business totally unacceptable behavior, if you see random 1 star reviews here it’s probably the local woke community trying to bash a hardworking business owner. Try her food for yourselves.

Great food, great coffee, awesome customer service

We’ve been coming here since it was Taste of Brasil, and it’s still one of our favorites! My two kids absolutely love it — the food is always amazing, the coffee is great, and the atmosphere is so warm, welcoming, and kind every time we visit.

Amazing Brazilian restaurant/cafe! Their Feijoada and Bobo de Camarao are a must try! They have delicious lattes and pastries, my favorite is the prestigio cake! Always great customer service as well!

Wow, I’ve been trying out cafes in the oak park area and I’ve been surprised how low the quality of coffee has been. Commercial syrups, Flat whites with no texture and very questionable dial ins. Stopped by in the evening looking for tea but saw the list of house syrups and my interested was peaked. Got an oat milk flat white and a double shot, along with a herbal tea. Beautiful texture on the flat white and the double shot was much better than anything in the area and the critiques are minuscule. Cool glassware as well as great service. Will definitely be back to try some of their signatures. So glad to have found a real coffee shop. It was bumping all the way until close as well!

The flat white had flavor and softness, and the vibes in this establishment were high. One of the best coffee locations in OakPark.

Pretty good coffee!! It was a solid 8/10 for me! I wish it was a little less sweet and puree in the coffee bc it was a little thick but soo good, I got the banana bread latte
