Sen Sushi is a tad hidden off of Oak Park Street near Addis’ Cafe. It’s a clean no frills place that offers good amount of specialty rolls and great Sashimi and Nigiri sets.They don’t take reservations and it is small, but seems like turn over is pretty fast. Definitely a place to try if you want decent sushi this side of the burbs.Parking: There is paid parking in front of the building or if u go about half a block down, free parking in front of the houses.

Beware of predatory tipping practices. If you order take out or delivery and don’t tip at order (versus, uh, once we the service has been rendered and you know what you’re working it) they will hold your order until food is bone cold. Planned on tipping in cash on both instances but waited over an hour and was met by rude behavior. This has occurred both with take out and delivery. Food is not good enough to justify such behavior.

My favorite sushi spot. I have experienced prejudice at many Asian establishments (nail salons, eateries etc.) I have NEVER experienced this at Sushi Sen. The staff is friendly, accommodating and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and the food is an easy 10/10! We ordered four rolls and shrimp shumai for delivery. Arrived on time and in a neat little pack. Turned out to be too much for one sitting for the two of us so we had leftovers for the next day. Very tasty and well made sushi. I'm used to dumplings and found the shumai to be a nice change-up both in terms of texture and flavor.
