I was disappointed during my most recent visit to Spilt Milk; I'm fairly certain (though not positive) that the price of quiche slices has raised to $9, but more than that I was aware of the smaller serving they are now providing customers. The slice of quiche I received today was noticeably smaller than in the past, and the new plastic containers that now hold the slices has changed to mask that fact. The quiche itself is delicious, as are most items that come out of Spilt Milk, but i'm disheartened by the increase in price and the decrease in portion, since Spilt Milk is already quite an expensive bakery.

I love this place so much! First off it’s so homey inside which I love. Any place that makes me feel at home is a win for me. The staff is always polite and pleasant but the thing that takes the cake for me is the Mexican chocolate cookie. I dream about this cookie often. I make my best friend bring me some every time he comes in town and I stop every time I come up there. I send this place to everyone I know going up to Chicago it’s that good.

The food is wonderful but a little pricey the manager here is very rude….a lady with dark curly hair and glasses. I walked up to the counter to wait for my items because I knew I had to grab it myself and she just looked at me for a minute like I was bothering her without asking me if I needed anything….i than said “oh I’m waiting on my items” and she kindda shewed me away. Seems like she needs to work on some of her soft skills (I am also a supervisor in a coffee shop and I would never do this)

The Horchata Matcha is SUBLIME!💚 It is delicious and refreshing. They also have great bakery options. I actually am not a fan of quiche, but I always get a slice when I go! The crust is perfect! However, the best part is the service. Everyone that works there is so incredibly kind and they always brighten my day!

Not as good as I thought it would be. S'Mores Pie didn't have a very good flavor, Chocolate Cream Pie was better but pretty one note. Key Lime was better tasting but crust was incredibly crumbly. Chocolate Chip Cookie was average. Raspberry Cherry Pie was good, best of the bunch. Take and bake biscuits, pies, and granola were incredibly expensive. Way overpriced on those.
The aroma outside Spilt Milk had me looking forward to a treat. When I got in, the service was wonderful. Unfortunately the Financier I got lacked any discernible flavor. I like to bake and appreciate that the texture was nice and it was moist but the lasting impression was just of something sweet—no almond or vanilla flavor or anything else other than the taste of sugar. I'll give the place another try someday, but was disappointed in what I got today.
