I’ve been a couple times before and didn’t really love anything that I tried but I love a local bakery so wanted to try again. I placed an order for a Friday meal and wow, it was so good! I also purchased a couple of slices of pie and loved them. Prices are high for the baked goods ($25 for two slices of pie and a cookie) but I’m okay with that as long as the taste is good. I can’t afford that regularly but I’ll splurge every once in a while. Will definitely check out the Friday meals more often! Glad I gave it another shot.

I've been purchasing the key lime pie for years. Bought it for work, birthdays, holidays and just had a taste for it. I believe the price was around $30.00 then. I know and understand the cost for everything has gone up, the pie is at $49.50 now. However, if you need to charge more, please, please use the original ingredients that made everyone be willing to pay this high price. I just purchased the pie today 5/3/25 and it did not have much flavor mostly tasted sugar and alot of cream. I would like to continue to purchase from you. Please do better.
Best,

Tucked away in Oak Park, this sweet little bakery fills the morning air with the scent of fresh treats. Inside, bright murals and irresistible chocolate cookies create a cozy, cheerful vibe. It’s a must-visit spot — the prices are a bit high, but the quality more than makes up for it.

I ate my food too fast to take a picture but I highly recommend this place. The quiche of the day was delicious and sitting outside in the back was a very special treat. I tried a caramel thumbprint cookie and by the time I went to get another one the rest were sold out and I can see why! After we sat in and ate some food we picked up some to-go cardamom teas for a walk. I'll be back thanks for the great food and service.

Spilt Milk is a staple of Oak Park bakeries/coffee shops. It has the best pies in the area. I also love their take and bake options, as well as their gift shop items. Some items seem to be underseasoned (especially undersalted). I also recommend not ordering cappuccinos here, as the baristas make them as a latte (I've tested this more than once just to make sure it wasn't a one-off issue). Otherwise, I'd recommend for pies - both savory and sweet - as well as pre-made dinners, meals, and sides in the fridge. I especially love the beet sandwich.

3 times I have ordered a pie online only to get to the shop for them to tell me they sold it to someone in line. 4 times I was physically in line looking at a pie in the display case only to be told it was already sold online. Staff was rude to me and offered no form of compensation for driving an hr out of my way to pick up a pie that never existed. I was one their first customers 10 years ago. Beyond disappointed in the establishment as the owner told me they aren't worried about my concerns as they pump out $4k+/ day orders. I too am a small business owner and did not expect that response. My family, especially my daughter went without a pie for her first thanksgiving.

I haven't tried any of their lovely desserts yet but we've gotten coffee and hot chocolate here a few times and it's always delicious! The staff is already very friendly and outgoing and other customers we've chatted with have been equally as kind!

First of all, the smell when you walk in transports you to memories I don't even have of sleepovers at grandmas with her famous chocolate chip cookies backing, back when we all had hope and dreamt of becoming cowboy astronauts.

The had the biggest, flakest croissants I have ever seen.

And then the cookies- I didn't have the money for one despite them being fairly prices and like half what crumbl or insomniac charges.

This bakery is the nightmare that causes crumbl to wake in cold sweats.

They also have quiches and savory pies! Which I wouldn't eat bc of the meat, but made me want to because of reading discworld books.

They also have take and bake stuff and die holiday take out

But on top of that, I had gone in bc it said there was a food pantry next door and it has closed a year ago. But they gave me the most delicious banana bread I have ever had.
