We had New Year's Eve dinner there. The meal package was an excellent value and the food and service were wonderful. Great way to say goodbye to 2025!

Our waiter was attentive, but the food was terrible. The pappardelle was overcooked and mushy in the "chicken caprese" entre. Oh, about that, the description on the menu is "grilled chicken breast", except they cut it in small cubes the size of croutons?! My wife got "steamed black mussels" as an appetizer. It arrived in a bowl filled with broth and some slices of mushroom...like a mushroom soup. That's not "steamed". One of the other people in our group said that their pasta was also over cooked. One last thing...who puts Chicken Pot Pie on a menu at an Italian restaurant in Chicago but does not have classics like Chicken Vesuvio or Chicken Parm?! My advice, try their pizza and stay away from the main menu. FYI - We did not have pizza. That's on you. We were all excited to try a new place, but at the end of the meal we agreed to stick to more of the places we know and like for 'special occasion' dinners. Sorry, 225 you've got to do better. Much better.

Truly bad. The food was awful, including the arancini, salads, spaghetti and meatballs, which is hard to imagine. Simple drinks had to be sent back twice because of missing ingredients. Server forgot some of our order, had to remind her and food came out at all different times and not in the correct order (ex arincini came out after mains). Nothing was comp'ed or removed from the bill, which made very an extraordinarily expensive, bad meal.

The food was good but many of our favorites were no longer on the menu like their risotto dishes and gnocchi. I wouldn't say the food was fantastic. The pasta was very fresh. I found some of the dishes too salty. Desserts were amazing. Atmosphere was great and service was good.

Amazing service and good! Grilled calamari was not greasy, delicious drinks. All entrees come with a salad. Our entrees were great and love that they have a kids menu. We share the chocolate gelato brownie layer cake for desert. Everything is reasonably priced. A nice neighborhood gem!

Amazing experience! Revisited Trattoria 225 after a couple years of being away from the Oak Park area and my expectations were exceeded. All of the appetizers and entrees our group of 5 ordered were top notch and full of flavor. There are plenty of options for any dietary restrictions, our group is mainly vegetarian and we were all full and happy by the end of our meals. The service was excellent! The owner Bill even stopped by to say hello. Cannot recommend this spot enough. The atmosphere is warm with plenty of dope local art on the walls. 10/10!

Good food and friendly, attentive service. I had the lamb shank with mushroom risotto which was delicious! No rushing our table - happily accommodated an additional diner who arrived after the rest of our party had eaten. Free parking nearby in the neighborhood.

This Italian restaurant serves genuinely fresh, house-made pasta, prepared entirely from scratch. The flavors are bold and the textures perfect, just like homemade should be. The wood-fired pizzas have a crisp, smoky crust and simple, high-quality toppings that let the ingredients shine.

Desserts are worth saving room for—the crostata, in particular, hits the right balance of sweetness and tartness. No gimmicks, just real Italian cooking done well.

The food was good. I wouldn’t say great! The meatballs app were ok the Arancini was ok. The egg rolls were good. I probably wouldn’t come back for the food but the service and workers were great! The space was nice! Huge! Seems like it may have been an old art gallery! Prices were definitely decent!

Had absolutely great dinner. Grilled calamari, chicken Vesuvius and bacon wrapped pork tenderloin were all very good. Atmosphere was fun with families and Dave did an excellent job of trying to keep up with everything going on. Will be back next time to try the pizza.

❤️ 2 for $25 pizza nite! Enjoyed the Wise Guy. The caramelized onions are so sweet & pair perfectly with the sausage. The Build Your Own comes with 2 complementary toppings. We chose pepperoni & peppers. Wonderful. We will return.

I was expecting a better food experience. Of the 4 dishes we ordered, no one in our party was pleased. The pizza was "not Neapolitan" which is what we expected. Domino's would have been better. Unfortunately, we will never return.

We love the gluten free options! Wood fired pizzas are great! Nice variations in the rest of the menu - salads are awesome - great desserts!!!

Easter Brunch was excellent! We enjoyed our food choices (the mussels are consistently excellent) and the variety of foods on the buffet. Our server Dave was awesome and fun. Our bar tender Dave always mixes our drinks perfectly.

We were not told it was a Valentine's Day Menu. The food was not good. Not even on par with a wedding dinner at a banquet hall. Very disappointed. Our server was great. The only food that was edible was the bread.
