Really average local Italian restaurant. Went with family on Saturday evening at 6:15 and it was empty. I do greatly appreciate all the gluten free options. The stuffed chicken with risotto was really good. The oxtail ragu wasn’t good.

We came here for Easter Brunch- my mother in a wheelchair, 4 4-year-old son, and myself. At the last minute, I decided I didn't want to cook, and was looking for an old school buffet style brunch as it would be so much simpler for the short attention span of my kiddo, and a treat for my mom. This buffet was so much better than it had any right to be! All 3 of us enjoyed ourselves immensely and we will be back again! -Facilities: The restaurant was fully accessible for my mom in her wheelchair which was much appreciated. The staff was eager to help however needed with opening doors for us and removing unneeded chairs to give us more space. -Food: WOW! Beyond the omelet station and carving station, they had a lot of wonderful seafood like a whole smoked salmon, oysters Rockefeller (delicious!), and steamed mussels. There was a full dish of eggs benedict which was lovely, and the bacon was perfectly crispy. An entire room full of desert options- something for everyone.

The calamari was okay. The pepperoni pizza wasn't bad, but it wasn't all that. The goat pizza, however, was very delicious. I will definitely try some of the other pizzas they have.

One of us had an outstanding Manhattan and the other prosecco to start. Always enjoy the warm crusty bread that's a prelude. We split a Seafood Linguini which was excellent . Since it was Oak Park Restaurant Week we got a free dessert. We had warm apple tart with vanilla gelato which was also very fine.

Our first visit. Excellent value. The food was very good. The cocktails were great. The service left a great deal to be desired. Plates were not cleared. Water was not refilled. A drink that was ordered never brought to the table. I am guessing we will return and we will be much more explicit with expressing what we need.

Great food, great service. The only problem is the parking. But we will definitely go again. The wait staff was great by not interrupting dinner but keeping us in view if we needed anything.

The pizza is normally good. The 2/22 deal on Tuesdays and Thursdays is mainly why I order from there. Unfortunately, this time both of the pizzas didn’t have any tomato sauce. Also they were lukewarm. I ordered the meatballs before and it was horrible. No seasoning. I will order the pizza take out deal again, but if the food isn’t good, I’ll order somewhere else.
We were celebrating my husband's birthday with our son, daughter in law and two grandchildren. Our meal was delicious and we felt very comfortable having the 7 and 2 year old with us. The staff was very attentive and accommodating with any requests. We will definitely be back.

Came to catch up with a friend and the atmosphere was chill. Not very loud, so we were to talk without having to yell at each other. The service was good and the food was great. I'd come here again for sure.

Trattoria 225 is a great dining experience. The food is unique and delicious. The staff are welcoming, professional and friendly. We love that the entrees change every week and the prices are very fair. The Mahi Mahi this week was very nicely prepared and presented.

Our group has dinner at 225 then heads down to the Goodman Theater for a play. Works out great by avoiding the Downtown rush. Best part is the excellent food choices we get to enjoy.
