Another great dining evening at Victory. Restaurant was short staffed; however every staff member was helping out on the floor. Our wait staff - Dave is amazing. Always has good recommendations for wine & food selections.

Another great dining experience at Victory. We were so happy Dave was our waiter - very knowledgeable about menu and wine list. He's a great member of the Victory team.

We loved our dinner. Edgar was our waiter and was very helpful and patient with us. My guest was running late and was celebrating a bday. Edgar's recommendation on drinks was worth it. The individual portions are big enough for two, or leftovers for lunch! We went with the linguini and clam with white wine sauce. Definitely a must have. The Caesar salad was definitely a shareable choice. For the dessert, Edgar presented my guest with a delicious slice of coconut cake 🍰 and two shots of limoncellos. Amazing place and service.

Karen was our server and she was absolutely awesome! Our service was superior and our meal was fantastic. All of us enjoyed leftovers the next day, large portions. Also a great wine list, and parking isn't too bad on Sundays because it's free. My only concern would be parking on a regular day. But I don't know the area that well either so maybe there's some garages nearby. We would highly recommend

Really nice meal tonight. Wasn’t our original destination, but it was a refreshing surprise. My chicken Marsala was very tasty, even more so because our server, Dave, steered me to forgo the side of pasta w red sauce and instead put it on a bed of angel hair pasta. Hubby’s whitefish was also nice—good portion, nicely prepared, with spinach not overcooked. Cocktail was good, gelato, too. Best of all was our tell-it-like it is server, Dave. Great menu tips, great attitude, great instincts for coming—and NOT COMING—to the table. (Geezus, haven’t we all had that server that just won’t leave you alone?!) Recommend you go see Dave.

Great neighborhood Italian restaurant in Oak Park. Wide selection of apps, pastas, entrees plus daily specials. Our waiter, Dave, knew the menu and wines well. He recommended the Thursday special (Nanna’s platter) which was cavatelli with 1 meatball, 1 Italian sausage, & 1 veal braciola (rolled cutlet stuffed with cheese & spinach). I also had a glass of an Italian red he recommended and finished with a scoop of gelato. We were a party of 3 & we all took enough of the entree with us to make 1-2 more meals each. Most of the other customers seemed to be local regulars - mix of families, couples and solos. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere with great food and friendly, attentive staff. We got there just as they were opening for dinner but it was filling up by the time we left so I would suggest you shoot for a reservation if you are going on a weekend or during more normal dinner hours.

We are visiting the area, and tried Victory because it's across from our hotel, and I'm so glad we did! The food and service were excellent. Dave, our waiter, was phenomenal. He was very attentive, and had great suggestions for both food and drink. He was also very good with my son and all of his million questions. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and recently spent several days in beautiful Oak Park, IL, made even more memorable by our two visits to Victory Italian, a stone's throw from our hotel, The Carleton. Dave was our waiter the first time, and we sat at the bar the second time. The food and drinks were impeccable, as was the service and overall ambiance of the restaurant. We look forward to a return visit (or two) on our next trip to the Chicago area. Highly recommend. A+++

After the movies we decided to come to Victory as it has been on our list of must tries. It must have been the right time and place to come! Dave was outstanding and really the start of the show! As his personality is so original and organic it’s like you’re known him all your life. He is 1 of 1. Any special request he made it a demand. And I very appreciate him and hospitality. Me and my boyfriend just had our second baby, leaving date nights not as much as a priority as before. But tonight was so needed and really a night to remember. The food? Oh man incredible. The gnocchi was so pillowy soft. Being Italian it’s hard to find that traditional home like experience. Along with the marinara brought to the table with the bread. COME. Don’t think about it. Come!!! And don’t forget to ask for Dave.
