Oakbrook, IL - Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

Went there for lunch with my sister. Very nice seating area with choice of both or table. The environment is very clean and it is handicapped accessible for walker, rollator or wheelchair. There is plenty of parking in a free lot. We got there shortly after noon on a weekday. We were seated immediately. We each had a full sized salad and shared a small pizza. I had the house salad and my sister had the salad with mushrooms, olives and gargonzola cheese, but I forget the name of that one. The food arrived quickly and was fresh and hot. Our server was also very pleasant. The tables are very comfortable and we didn't feel like we were right on top of the other diners. We also felt comfortable sitting at the table for a while to chat after we paid the bill since there were plenty of other open tables. Lunch cost $51 for both of us and that included the tip. We had soft drinks and got several refills, but there was also a bar with alcohol if you prefer. The food was delicious and on parking with other Lou's locations. I would definitely recommend this location for a nice, casual lunch.

Pizza was good, but I noticed that Lou’s was very skimpy on the sausage and crust, the portions were a lot smaller than usual. The price of the pizzas was higher which is understandable due high food prices, but raising prices and making the pizzas smaller doesn’t make sense from a consumer’s point of view.

Have been to this location several times over a period of multiple years. The thin crust is way too greasy and heavy. It's also slightly chewy if that makes sense, even if you get it well done. The sauce and cheese are mid. The sauce has a slight tang to it, but both lack flavor. The toppings are also mid. The people that you order from on the phone and pick up from are not friendly

My peers recommended, but I really was disappointed. Everything looked good and was nicely seasoned and garnished. The bruschetta was underwhelming. The deep dish pizza crust was hard and tasteless. The service was standoffish and not responsive.

Food was delicious, delivery time was faster than expected, and they added a soda I forgot to order on the house. Overall a great experience to introduce out-of-town visitors to Chicago deep dish pizza.

Solid Lous spot! My mule wasn’t in a copper mug but that’s ok. Pizza was good! So were the apps.
