looked good online, so decided to stop off before the winery. left 50 minutes later without eating. was told 20 min prior that we were next up. after 5 other tables came out, waitress didn't say a word when i paid for pop and said we were leaving. other waitress came out and said we were next. not falling for that twice.

Stopped here before going to New Salem. Got there at 12:35 on a Saturday. It took over an hour for food to arrive, and they close at 2pm. Food was good, however, not worth the wait, especially when a table of 3 women walked in 30 minutes after us. They got appetizers and entrees served before us!!! Not impressed and it was colder than a walk in freezer.

Food was excellent, price was very reasonable, fantastic gluten free menu.Only downside was how long everything took. It was more than an hour from when we placed our order until the food arrived. Total visit was close to 2 hours.

My family ate there today and the food was great. The fish was very tasty. Took a while, but the place was full for lunch. It was well worth the wait. Thanks Brenda

Absolutely Amazing!!! Great food & equally great service! Delicious fried chicken, green beans, and mashed potatoes! Raven was our waitress and super! She was professional, friendly, attentive, and efficient. Great job! We will be back!

I will never eat here again. The entire experience was awful. The food is average, absolutely nothing special and portions were small for the price. The atmosphere was not miserable. It was hot in there. You could tell the AC was running, but it was like it couldn't keep up despite the small size of the building. Additionally, it was very cramped. Could hardly weave through the tables without bumping a chair or said table. But worst of all was the service! Absolutely abysmal. We waited over 15 minutes just for the waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink. And then another 15 minutes for her to come back and ask what we wanted to order. There were only two waitresses and seemed like they were doing everything excepting tending to us. I can't even count the amount of empty plates she picked up and repeatedly took to the back before she decided she wanted to take our order. This place is tiny, we weren't forgotten about, just ignored. After finally ordering food, we waited no less than 50 minutes for that food to come out. Not once while eating did a waitress check on us without being prompted. I sat my empty water glass at the edge of the table hoping for a refill, even making eye contact at times, but that refill never came. No one stopped to ask how our food was, if we needed anything, etc. We had to flag someone down any time we needed something (to go box, the check). We had little interaction with the waitresses and when we did it was meh. They were by no means rude but also did not go out of their way. I just simply will not recommend this establishment to any one. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've had and that is not at all an exaggeration.Kid-friendliness: It's not, not kid friendly but also don't go there expecting a paper menu and crayons for the kids because we did not get that. No arcade machines, etc. Though they do have slots, of course.Parking: No defined lot. A few spaces in front of building. Otherwise just find a random spot nearby or across the street and park there.Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair accessibility.

Wife & I dined in for breakfast. The restaurant is a little behind in times as it is cash only but oddly offers an ATM that charges a $3 fee. By oddly I mean if there's internet for an ATM why not accept debit/credit & add a fee for using these payment methods ?. No fountain soda so you're paying by the can. Not a deal breaker but when service is extremely slow & your food takes a while then your soda will be gone, flat or watered down by the ice by the time your food comes. The food itself was average breakfast food although I did like the hand made sausage patties. The pancakes were huge but tasted like they were possibly wheat or whole grain? Biscuits & gravy were pretty underwhelming in comparison to what I make at home. Facebook page has a few menu pics but prices aren't current so beware you'll pay a bit more.Pros: Large Portions, average pricing, not busy.Cons: Average food, Cash Only, Slow Service from kitchen when not busy, No Fountain Drinks.

Delicious down-home food just like grandma used to make. Neat restaurant and while all the staff is fantastic, Evan is our favorite!
