The food was great but the service was just disappointing at best. The food was completely wrong when we pointed it out the server seemed unfazed so we just ate it. Never could get refills on coffee or water. We had planned to order dessert but decided we would skip it when the server dropped the check on the table and totally ignore our request to see a menu. Problem will not go back to this location.

The floors are sticky, the bathroom smelled and the menus also had a horrible odor.The margaritas were great, and the chicken fajitas were so dry that they were inedible.My favorite part of the meal was the chips and salsa.The waitress accidentally billed us for dinner fajitas instead of lunch fajitas but did correct her error when we pointed it out.Overall, we will not be going back.

Our waitress, Dee, was great. The restaurant looked very clean and well maintained. None of us were overly impressed with the size of menu selection, price, or the food itself, but it wasn’t terrible and large portions were served. This restaurant gave more of a Chili’s vibe than any Mexican restaurant I’d previously been to, but I’d also never been to a chain Mexican restaurant, aside from Taco Bell. We spent about $100 for four entrees, three drinks(soda), two cheese dip, and tip.

The service was wonderful, but the food was horrible my order was very cold. The rice was cold, the tacos I had was burnt and tastes burnt , the black beans was very dry and not seasoned.

Olivia was our waitress this evening, 2/13/24. She is the best waitress I have ever had and I eat out all the time. She was so friendly and accommodating. She made the experience wonderful. I would highly recommend that you keep her on staff. She is an asset to your facility. I also had the pleasure of meeting with Toni. She came to check on our experience. She demonstrated strong management skills and was very friendly. I will recommend Chevys in O’Fallon IL to everyone I know. Thank you!
I used to go to this restaurant all the time for brunch and after yesterday's dinner service, my husband and I won't be back. We usually tip very well, but our blonde haired server didn't seem to anticipate that (wrong color I guess lol). There were only 3 tables full in the place and we were totally ignored. The brunette server that had another table had to keep getting our server and said she was "training" somebody. I accepted it but my husband was sitting in the opposite direction as she prepared drinks for imaginary people at the bar ? instead of checking on us. Definitely NOT going back. I still tipped 15% girl missed out on a 30% (or more)..tip OH WELL. I didn't give any stars for service...I wish there was a negative 5 stars but I had to give one to post ??

Don't eat here if you want authentic Mexican food. Servicer was great they kept my drinks full. Manager was dirty covered with food and had an attitude cause we didn't like the Mexican pizza. Brought us out 2 tacos and charged us 17.00 for them. They tried to swindle us. We told the waitress about it and they knew they were wrong. We will not be back. We found a place that has authentic Mexican food LOS Amigos is better.
A group of us visited on the 9th of January 24 and this was my first visit here, and I have to admit I was a bit reserved with reading several of the reviews. Well, I can speak for myself and the rest of the group, everything was top shelf, the food, the service and the ambiance. The portion sizes were huge and I had to have a take home box (that's a first for me). Kaylynn our server was great and made our visit very enjoyable. We will visit again.

The food was ok but I had better there. Short on staff and a lot of waiting. The waitress in the bar was awesome. She was running all around but did a good job taking care of everyone. I had the steak tacos which is a favorite of mine and these were the worst I had there. My husband had the vampira tacos and they looked nothing like the picture. Quality of the food was very disappointing.

My food looked like it had been sitting in the window for 20 minutes. The rice was dry, the birris was soggy.. My dining companion's food was missing. I never got the side of consumme for the birria I had asked for, which was supposed to come with it. We won't be back.
