The French Toast Flight. It was delicious. I raised my eyebrow at the thought of the lemon flavor. To my surprise, it was absolutely delicious. All 4 flavors were. I highly recommend it.

I visited and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. After waiting over 30 minutes, my food arrived cold. I ordered the chicken fajita, but the meat was dry and tough. Although the chef tried to make up for it, when dining out, I prefer quality food over a discount. To make matters worse, the hash browns were also cold. While I appreciate the effort to fix the situation, my appetite was already ruined by then. Overall, it was just a letdown.

Their biscuits are not homemade as stated on menu nor is the chicken sausage gravy. I was very disappointed 😞 with that. However , their French Toast with options on point
I’ve heard about Batters and Berries for awhile. Wasn’t aware that they had a south suburban location. Food and service is definitely on point. The fried catfish sammich is a hit. Jade was my bartender and she was excellent. She’s also the private event manager which was very helpful as they host events at a very reasonable rate. I will be back in the future.

Went this past Saturday 10/12 for my best friend's birthday. She was pleased. I was gob smacked. A table for 7 and we were sitting on top of each other. I spent a huge amount of the time with my left arm around my mother's chair because there simply wasn't enough room. Maybe consider putting THREE tables together instead of two? I saw another large group all squished in like sardines as well. The coffee was horrible. No amount of cream or sugar was going to fix it. Our server was pleasant and informative. I do not eat gluten and ordered the gluten free buckwheat pancakes for both my mother and myself. Another server, I'm assuming, comes over after a few minutes to inform us that they were out. At 12pm reservation on a Saturday! Leads me to believe they never had them. Went with the glutenous plain waffle for my mom with a side of bacon. Ordered the catfish special for myself. The fish fillet was meh. The cheesy hash brown had unmelted cheese thrown on top. Not even going to address the eggs because I didn't eat them. The hot sauce was good. Fortunately I was able to order just a regular glass of champagne, after all of that I needed a drink. The house music was great, and at a decent level where we could enjoy it but not having to scream over it. Our wait was 90 minutes but that's how brunch often looks. Yeah it's a no for me on the return but the birthday girl was pleased with her meal so, there's that. She had some sort of french toast flight and a "first class" mimosa flight which just seems a little crazy to me but, whatevs.
Dietary restrictions: Claimed to have gluten free pancakes but nope. Salads are available. Pretty sure that catfish was made with flour so...

Hostess, rude upon entry. The waitress was awesome! The music was extremely loud. Single stall restroom was untidy. My table receive another tables order. The catfish was too salty. The French toast was alright. Pancakes were gritty.

Visited Batter and Berries with my family. We were greeted by a friendly staff that was ready to serve. The atmosphere was nice but once the crowd arrived it got a little stuffy.
My grandson ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and chicken tenders. He ate it all and was on a sugar high all day. The presentation was great for a picky kid. I ordered the banana and caramel waffle with a side of fried eggs and chicken sausage. Every thing was good but the sausage was overcooked and tasteless. I appreciate the option instead of pork but I have had much better. And the coffee was subpar. I am a serious coffee drinker and this coffee was weak. Those two items caused me to give you a 5 star ⭐️.
One other thing…..please put together a menu for the specials. I was impressed with the server having the ability to recite it.. but sorry I couldn’t remember any of it.

I’ve been a regular customer at Batter and Berries for quite some time, usually enjoying a great experience with friends and family. Unfortunately, my recent visit left me feeling incredibly disrespected and uncomfortable due to the behavior of our waiter, Indhi P., at table 24.
When ordering, I tried to explain that I didn’t want any butter or whipped cream on my waffle. However, before I could finish, Indhi cut me off and repeatedly insisted that “nothing comes on the chicken and waffles, it’s just chicken and a waffle,” dismissing what I was trying to clarify. He then proceeded to take my friend’s order and made a sarcastic joke about toppings, which felt unnecessary.
When the food arrived, my friend’s dish had powdered sugar on the waffle and parsley on the chicken, while mine did not. This was not what I meant by “no toppings,” but Indhi hadn’t given me a chance to explain. When I pointed this out, he became irritated and asked my friend, “didn’t she say she didn’t want toppings?” which felt unprofessional. I tried to move past this, but then he began flirting and bothering me even after I expressed that I just wanted to enjoy my meal in peace.
The most shocking part was when he later returned, hostile, accusing me of saying something offensive that I never said. I was bewildered by his hostility and responded calmly, but his behavior made me uncomfortable for the rest of the meal. While he did attempt to apologize by bringing a free drink, he never checked on us again, rushed us with the check, and made a rude comment about not tipping when I requested a receipt.
I’ve never had an experience like this at Batter and Berries but I hope the management addresses this situation. The service I received was far below the standard I’ve come to expect.
I ordered the bourbon but it had to much sweet sauce. The flight was excellent. The drinks over excellent. I wish they had lamb chops and stuffed french toast. But overall great service and the bartender was extra friendly.
