Jerk-N-Go Olympia Fields

My husband tried to order a dinner tonight at 6pm. Sign says no white meat and cashier says no white meat. So he ordered the dark meat dinner. Then he decided to check to see if they have wings (white meat). Yes they do! Ok then let me get the wing dinner instead and I’ll pay the difference. Cashier then tells him that he has to take the dark meat dinner and order another wing dinner separately because the food will go to waste if he doesn’t take it. What? So he says this doesn’t make any sense. Then a man from the kitchen comes out and starts arguing and telling the cashier to give my husband his money back - he’s holding up the line and to not service him if he comes back in the store again. What??? My husband says do you understand what’s going on here? You are telling us there is no white meat but then you have wings which is why I’m changing the order. I’m not holding up the line and I shouldn’t have to pay for 2 dinners! Kitchen Man tells my husband we have plenty of white meat. Kitchen man then starts taking down his no white meat sign and tells the cashier to give my husband his money back. All this after at least 20 mins wait and no food. Get it together people! My husband left and we won’t be back. Do better.

I’ve been going to Jerk N Go, Olympia Fields and Homewood locations since they first opened. Today I was disappointed in the Olympia Fields location. I orders a mixed chicken dinner. The chicken was dry and seemed reheated,, the rice seemed like it was cooked a day before and reheated, and the Mac and cheese tasted like butter noodles. The best part of the dinner was the yams. I will not be returning to the Olympia Fields location.

Very good jerk chicken dinner! The jerk taco comes on pita bread which I’m not a fan of. I spoke with them and they gave me two free sides. Highly recommend.

The food was good. This was my first time. The issue is the serving. I purchased the lunch small and the chicken pieces were extremely small. The taste was good but I was u pleased with the portion size

(2015) Decided to visit Jerk-n-Go b/c it was new in the neighborhood & I was starving!

A relative of mine told me their Jerk Salad was delicious therefore, I decided to try an item off the lunch special:

Jerk Chicken White - $8.00
W/ a side choice of Mac & Cheese
& a Beef Patty!

Jerk Chicken- very moist and juicy with/ the skin falling off! It was soooo good! I wish there was a bigger portion! I didn't need to sauce because the meat was very well seasoned! The sauce is spicy, but it was good to test taste. I'm not a spicy eater so that small container of sauce was more than enough for me. If you crave spicy, then you may need more than one sauce lol.

Mac & Cheese- it was good. I wouldn't order the item again for a side; I'll probably try the candied yams! I was debating in my head between the two, but I should have selected the yams.

Rice & Beans- all I can say is, it was delicious! Once again, I wish the portion was bigger but that may be b/c of it being a Lunch special as oppose to a dinner special. But I usually go to Ya Mon in Country Club Hills and their rice isn't moist like Jerk-N-Go! You'll love the rice!

Beef Patty- OMGGGGGGG!!! This is a must try!! I should have ordered another one! This is good for someone that is curious about trying this restaurant but do not really want to order a lot; try this! And get two!! Because the first one, will melt & disappear in your mouth like a Krispy Kreme Doughnut lol!

Customer Service- The chef was very friendly and welcoming!

Atmosphere: very clean and semi- spacious with a large flat screen television mounted high on the wall as you can see in the photos!

I noticed they are expanding to the Citgo Gas Station on Lincoln Highway! That's great news to here! Hopefully there will be some beef patties!

update (2023): Definitely recommend the white jerk chicken dinner.

Parking: approx. 5 parking spots in front of the entrance. on the side, plenty of parking but you will need to walk over from Bizio's parking lot.

The cashier was not friendly, she didn't greet us, say thank you have a nice day. I said thank you she didn't say you're welcome just mmhmm. The rice and beens were dry. Chicken was cooked well. But the Mac and cheese was extremely dry and not cheesy at all.

I've been going here for years prices are high food is bland no taste to the Mac and cheese no taste to the rice which I knew but my chicken wad bland which was a first and no bread I will never go again and the service was not on point I make better jerk then these people and its hard for me to write a negative review but this one was earned
