The Interior of the restaurant looks like an 88Buick had sex with a k-mart restroom. They have a completely asinine policy of "no carry-out".Their website doesn't mention or explain this. So I went out in 3 degree weather (before I learned of this policy) to bring wings home for my family on a cold December night. Sat down, asked for wings to go and she replied, "we don't do that"Now you're wondering, are the wings so good that they can have these crazy policies? No. No they are not. They're fine. They are maybe a 5 out of 10.But Father and Sons is 2 blocks away... so just go there.Update: I hear they started doing carry out. I’m happy to see it too a pandemic to turn this place to mid-level.

I had the sweet chili wings they were a touch overdone and the sauce was a little too runny but they were still good and they hooked you up with the fries ! The Sam Adams Octoberfest draft was tasty !Parking: Plenty of parking out back

Great local eat! Highly recommend the wings. I really like that you can choose your level of hotness. Everything on the menu is inexpensive and the staff is friendly too. Check this one out.

First time! Gathered there for a work party. Had the Mango-Habenero wings with zero additional heat. The sauce had a mild zing, good thing I didn't add extra heat, which is a fun option. The fries were delish!Dietary restrictions: The bone-in wings are not coated so it's a great gluten free option.

Small bar with 10 tables. Food was ok but probably because we were starving by the time it came out. Waited over 30 minutes for the waitress to come to the table, then to tell us the kitchen was taking a break cause they've been working since 5 (it was only 6). It took another 15 to get a drink order.. It took them 5 minutes to get a knife for us to cut the kids meal when they finally did come out, 30 minutes before the adults food. Always wanted to stop here and check out out, was excited to try the wings. But will definitely not be back. One thing I can say the sauces were pretty good, but not worth it. Just haven't had this atrocious of service for a long time and it's pricey for the quality/service. Cannot recommend, there are better places in town.Edit in response to owner: all 3 adults at the table heard the kitchen was taking a break because they were working since 5 (it was 6). A wait due to backup is 30 to 45 minutes, not 90 minutes. Other tables with locals that came in after us were served before us. First entrees were 35 minutes before last entrees served. Just all around terrible service and now insulting responses. Own up owner!

Had the pickle chips, fry basket, and wings with the sweet chili sauce. We loved everything. The fried food was crispy, hot and well seasoned. The wings were delicious. The bar and waiting staff were kind and attentive.

Best wings and burgers in town

Hands down the best place to get wings in the area. After trying places in Rockford and the surrounding areas, Chile Pepper takes the cake. Not only are the wings meaty and crispy, they have an abundance of tasty sauces. It's rare to find a place with incredible sauces that also pack a punch. Their hottest wings are some of the absolute hottest I've ever had. They have bar seating but also a sit down area near the bar that your entire family could fit in. Servers are always friendly and prompt. Chile Pepper is a must try for any hot-wing enthusiast. Don't forget to try the "Butt Blisters" and "Anal Assassins" sauces.

Always on Fridays, fish or shrimp dinner, sweet potatoe tots, love the food, atmosphere, abs the owners are quite nice. My daughter loves their wings.

Kind of a dark dimly lit place. But cozy. Owner was pushing tables around when we got there, which was right at 4pm opening time. Very kind lady. Told me about the specials, told me about what was on tap. Had a beer from Lexington brewing company. Kentucky bourbon vanilla cream ale. (The beer is made, and then sits to cask condition for a while, inside of a bourbon barrel) Awesome! I had the wings... thats their specialty. Had the boneless. They had a light batter, very crispy.. . I had a dry rub, with sauce on the side. They did not taste greasy , or felt heavy at all, but were filling. Loved them. Place was fun. I met up with some extended family that I never get a chance to see. Had a good time. Do recommend this place. Excellent service.

This place is a community staple. Great food. Great beers. Great friends. The Nashville Chicken sandwich is the perfect amount of heat. Which was surprising because everything else is a little bit hotter than you expect it to be... They've been doing things their own way for a long time and it works perfectly.

The wife and I have been there twice. Both bartenders and the owner were amazing both times. Now the wings…. The wings were awesome! Way better than any major chain! My only complaint is that I wish I would have found this jem sooner!

Always great food and service. Best cheeseburger ever. Good beer selection on tap. It varies. Also the usual suspects. Fun atmosphere.
