Ogle County Brewery Reviews
This review is for a time period over a year and a half or more (2021-2023) of our group making this our weekend go-to, get-together place to hang out. The place has a very good ambiance, service isn't bad, and the food looks a bit better than average bar food (which we avoided), since we really only came for the beer.
With that said, we drank their many brewed and crafted beers over this long period, and it seems most or nearly every one of their crafted beer we drank had a noticeable vinegar taste, but we continued to disregard it.
Over time, we eventually discovered 2/3 of our group had been experiencing some noticeable gastrointestinal problems, including myself, but we all were not aware that the others in our group were also having the same and similar issues, until eventually it came up in conversation, and we concluded that it definitely was the beer, i.e. mild to strong gastrointestinal upset, nausea, near explosive diarrhea, etc.
We very nicely notified management several times, but they completely ignored us. The home brewed beers here were making us noticeably sick, and alternative beers were not available, so we stopped going. Very sad!

Ogle County Brewery is a charming spot with a beautiful interior and clean bathrooms. Located in a historic brick building on main street, it offers a cozy sidewalk patio perfect for enjoying a flight of beers. The brewery features a variety of top-notch beers, including strawberry ale, amber wheat, vanilla and hazelnut porter, west coast IPA, oktoberfest, english golden ale, pineapple habanero, American pils, cider, and seltzer. They also have guest beers and a full bar. The service is friendly and attentive, and the staff are praised for their great service and amazing flavors. The menu includes sandwiches with chopped meat and dressings, and the food looked really good, with options for vegetarians and those with dietary restrictions. The building has been remodeled nicely, keeping its old charm while adding modern touches. It is very kid-friendly with games downstairs and easy wheelchair access through large doors. The brewery is a popular gathering place, often featuring live music, making it a must-visit spot for locals and visitors alike.
