Food is great. The people are great but beware of the coffee cup lid. I asked for two different lids and they both are not good. I was in my Porsche and I picked up my cup very gently and the lid popped off and coffee went

First experience here. Warm atmosphere as you walk in the door. We purchased a donut and a couple of muffins to go. Very friendly staff and delicious treats.

They always have the best and most decadent flavors of cookies. On this visit, I got the peanut butter and Rolo cookie. It was absolutely delicious!!They also have homemade dog treats which my girls absolutely love. I made sure that I stocked up on them!!

Latte was not very good. The drink itself tasted like a watered down, old cup of coffee. Could tell the beans were not fresh, disappointing.

Stopped here 5 minutes before they closed, but the gals behind the counter happily helped us with our cookie choices and drinks.

Good food, but great mission. Here's their story:"At the Village Bakery we create products that people love while “baking a difference” in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Located in downtown Oregon, IL, we offer fresh baked goods, delicious coffees, mouth-watering soups and sandwiches. But our mission runs deeper than good food – we are creating meaningful, community based work for men and women with developmental disabilities. The goal is to instill our men and women with the confidence to work in front of the public and competence to do it well. People with disabilities can have an active and meaningful role in today’s world – they just need a chance. Thank you for helping us “bake a difference” in so many lives."

Went for lunch and I had a frappuccino. They had many syrups for flavoring to choose from. I also had a panini and it was decent but fell apart as I ate it. The donuts were okay.

I shouldn't have shared their products with my co-workers. Now every time someone has a birthday or anniversary, it's Tuesday, whatever the occasion I'm asked to stop by for the maple bacon long johns. At my last job, it was the monster cookies. I had to order 11 dozen of them to bring to work one day. Eleven dozen monster cookies are heavy!!!
